I work for NDL National Distibutors Leasing. Yes it's $200 a week.. i think its 183.75 but close enough.
I have my wife looking for an independent insurance policy hopefully she will find one soon. I really appreciate all the help. In some odd way it makes me feel better that its slow everywhere. They are telling me after christmas they may have a team partner for me. I really like the people I work for we have about 350 drivers or so. I think i will stay the 6 months. Will try for a year if things pick up. I am thinking next year i will have some sort of savings to make up for this time of year.

What you are paying for health insurance is indeed costly, however, it is becoming more the norm. Sadly, as the cost of coverage is increasing, the quality of coverage is often decreasing.
The average cost of getting any decent type of private coverage for a family of four is now well over $14,000. per year. Are there better companies to drive for than your current one?? I'm sure there are. At the same time, you are five months into a six month commitment. Freight is slow industry wide right now. Just hang tough, and very quickly, doors of opportunity will be open to you. Best of Luck.

If you like the company like you say stick it out a year or two. You're more likely to do worse than better elsewhere. All recruiters lie and you always lose some pay and benefits by switching and probably never make it up. The longer you stick somewhere without being a jerk the better you are treated (usually). When you become a documented twice or four times a year "hopper" the next company is just gonna burn you up because they know you won't be around in 6 months and they save the better treatment for the good employees.

I've never sat for more then 7 hours. Only because the shipper was slow

I don't understand why people get themselves in these contracts for in the first place. Don't they offer CDL courses in local schools. I went to a 13 week course and paid $1300. And out of 12 or so people in the class I was the only one that actually paid. Everyone else got funding from the state, or county (wherever Workforce One in Florida gets their money)
