now you got me measuring the hair on my chest and belly,.
still don't make any sense with all the chemicals in deodorant. you think that would affect the test.
why not just do a blood test i guess their trying to bac as far as possible.

Wrong, we do hair testing over here. Recently I had a random. And since my hair was less than 1 inch long they took it from my legs. FYI....if you happen to be some freak with no hair whatsoever. They can also scrape your fingernails.
Interesting side note: A recent study shows that with urine testing 2% of truck drivers will fail. With hair testing 14% will fail. As a recruiter Ive already seen a lot more people kicked out of orientation for failing a drug tests since weve started doing hair tests.
As a person who travels the highways with my kids, im glad that more and more companies are and will be going to hair testing. As a recruiter....damn it sucks. Already putting a dent in my paycheck. FOR GOD SAKE, JUST SAY NO...lol. I need to make some money.

Way to be blunt. I just relay information as it was passed onto me by the RN at the General Motors physical I took.....

Maybe 2 tests are not alike?? They always took it from my arm pitts and I have some hairy *^& legs!

you could be right....different hair tests might have different requirements. Or perhaps the nurse just liked armpits. :lol:

 

As of a couple years ago DOT would not accept anything but urine testing. The person a talked to admitted there was better ways but said they had not been approved. That being said I know BNSF (railroad) uses hair testing. So who knows for sure.

I know when I couldn't give a sample they refused to take a blood sample even when I ask for one. Hospital said DOT wouldn't accept the results.
