Default Blowing off steam!

One of my biggest peeves is people who crawl in truck stops! I hate to get behind those yahoos. It?s like they think they are strutting their stuff or something! Why do so many people believe they must literally crawl when they are in a truck stop?

Moreover, a lot of them will not only crawl while at the truck stops, they will literally crawl up the Interstate ramps onto the Interstates as well and cause traffic around them to scramble out the way in order to avoid them. I know because I?m stuck behind those idiots seething all the time waiting for the traffic to clear up so I can hurry up and pass those A?holes too. No wonder the public at large hates inconsiderate truck drivers so much! And it?s not just a few of them that do it, it?s lots of truck drivers that have this exceedingly bad habit!

Another peeve of mind is truck drivers who see the sign ?weigh station 1 mile? and then immediately begins slowing down in advance, even though there?s another mile or more of travel to go. That really pisses me off! Don?t they realize that there is another mile to go, that they are impeding traffic behind them when they do that, and that a lot of truckers today are fortunate enough to have ?EZ Pass? and won?t even have to enter the weigh stations. Nevertheless?those clueless yahoos who are oblivious to the immediate world surrounding them and only aware of their own little world start slowing down immediately impeding the lane of travel for every one and their brothers behind them. Damn?that pisses me off!

my pet peeve is people who do 60 in truck stop lots. Just because your truck is the slowest on the big road they have to be the fastest in the t/s

Well Toothpick, if I were a truckdriver, I would be among those in that category. I'd rather go too slow than too fast in those truck stop lots; going too fast could cause an accident, plus it would give me more time to pick where to park.

As far as slowing down 1 mile from the weigh station, they probably do that so they don't accidentally go past in case it's a really long line. Besides, just because a sign says it's a certain distance til you reach a certain area, doesn't mean it's correct.

Yeah. :P That is one of the terms that you dont hear too much on the radio these days. Every once in a while,I will hear someone say it. That reminds me of the other night. I think it was Tuesday night, but in Dickens,Tx,there is usually a black and white sitting in front of the jail house, and sometimes, there is an unmarked Chevrolet Caprice. Well,as I was going through the Caprock outside of town, this ol boy comes on the radio, and says,"eastbound, you got a bear in a white plain wrapper outside your front door sitting on my side back there in town." I was like, huh? I was cracking up. I liked to fell out of my seat. My buddy Doug, who I run with, got on the radio, and thanked him for it,but it threw me off. Been a long time sinse I have heard that.

There used to be a Really Sneaky cop who ran the Hills south of Flagstaff on 17 at Night and had a Toggle Switch inside his car that would turn off one of his Headlights-Come off the Hills at a Good Clip and you see nothing but a One Eye Car and you KNOW it's not a Cop.

WRONG :P
