Therefore I have to do what I have to do. I'm a homeowner, pay my taxes, vote and have perfect credit yet none of that matters. Anyway to answer your question saddle, I couldn't be a cop as those type of criminal checks go through the federal database NCIC and as that is run with fingerprints there's no getting around that. kc0iv

Quito, I would recommend checking your State and NCIC criminal history in the state you were revoked in. Different states use different standards there. Like if you were revoked by violaion, it won't be on your criminal history, but some states use misdemeanor and felony classifications on revokations and suspensions, which would show on the state and ncic returns. So if I were you I'd check in the state that you were revoked it. Chances are it's already been purged from the system and you're good to go. Usually if you call up the State Police agency in a state where you've had dealings with, you can get a copy of your criminal history for free. Good luck, hope it all goes well for you.

Not telling your life-story is not dishonesty in my book...
I dont think carriers care where you had a drivers licence or that you were imprisioned in India for kicking a cow or you got drunk and ran through the streets of NYC naked 10 y's ago.

Pard, maybe i'm an idiot here,if your record is buried,it should'nt come up,however, barring some sort of sex assault or murder, this is a pretty leniant industry.
I might have been harsh in my first comment but thats me. If you want to do this,be honest. SOMEONE, will take you. Then build a repution as a hard working responible Man you are. And you can write your own ticket. By the way, alot of smaller lesser known companies realise the DAC is bullspit! Just a hint there

West-Coaster, I see in another post that you mention that you look at criminal reports from all over the USA, my question is when companies do background checks do they do the extensive ones from every state in the country or just the states that you mention you have either lived or worked in?
As for others, just a note in case you missed it up top, I have my Hazmat. Hazmat is just a matter of law, if you meet the guidelines then you get the hazmat, it not a question of whether some guy in saftey wants to allow you to work. So the best advice I can give is READ THE APPLICATION FOR HAZMAT very carefully. I have pulled my NCIC and there is my very serious felony. Listen to people but verify everything. Thanks to all that posted

what are you so affraid of here? just apply to companies and if you get hired then you have a job, if not oh well keep applying and maybe you will get hired someday. who cares what your dac says or ncic or anyone...because it don't matter but to you for some reason. Its better if you never said anything and keep things like this to yourself in the long run. now to me its like your braggin about being a bad boy and like i said before who really cares, if you can't get a job anywhere well thats your tough luck. I don't care what you do with the bodies as long as you don't throw them over the fence into my yard. keep your skeletons in your closet, no one wants to play with them but you.

You misunderstand my intentions and concerns Uglymutt. I don't want to "just apply" as you put it. I want as much information as possible. Once records are found they tend to roam or be sold etc . Place your name here http://www.melissadata.com/cgi-bin/p...reat job I go.
