Mackman, please keep us posted. I didn't see this one the first time around either. Slim's got some wise words. Take them to heart.
I'll be starting my VA benefits in the near future, so I guess a complete work-up is in my future too. Might as well, I get everything free. Up to now, I figured others needed it more than I did. Looks like it's my turn now.

Well my dad passed away tonight at 710pm. Me and my mom both were there with him. Holding his hand. Telling him it was ok to go. I sat there and seen him take his last breath. It was the hardest thing i ever had to do. Im happy he is in a better pain free place.
I also want to say that the hospice nurses are the best. They took such good care of him. God bless them for the job they do. RIP DAD will always love ya.

Sorry to hear about your dad. But, I'm glad to hear that you were able to be there with him. For many of us, as drivers, someone close dies and we're half way across the country from them at the time.

I am sorry to hear that you dad didn't make it, Mackman. It is difficult to lose a parent. My mother died from cancer. It is a terrible disease. Those who have it really suffer. I hated to lose my mother, but I knew that she was going to a better place and that she would no longer suffer. I am sure you have a lot of good memories that you can keep with you. Our prayers and thoughts are with you and your family.
