my last fart joke was aimed at Mitch, (post #7) it stunk and I need more fresh air
>> http://www.classadrivers.com/forum/t...tml#post530017I should learn to just let the fart speak for itself, and quit trying to stand in the way. ![]() https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7ECWDhh3Q9E

It's amazing what some drivers are getting paid, or should I say NOT getting paid?
I was just offered a position running "local" (more like NE reg.) with lots of NYC and NJ on a percentage of load and was told I COULD make $1000 a week! WOW!! I was just about out've there right then but then found out that's on a 1099!!! I told him there's an ass for every seat and to keep looking. Maybe I don't have it so bad?

Not only are they willing to give you a $1000. a week, they also let you sleep in a truck all week.

I know I'm late to the party but I'm guessing your dedicated run is a contract your company bid on and won so there is no wiggle room for driver pay. As much as they don't want to lose your service it's just business and they know they can find another driver to take your place pretty easily. All our runs are dedicated so to speak, home everyday. The good thing is I actually have a life and a predictable schedule, I do the same thing everyday. The bad thing is I do the same thing everyday. Think of Bill Murray in Ground Hog Day, lol. It's just a job, I would prefer to be independently wealthy but this is my second choice.
