They may find that the tornado which took out Henryville and Maryville was an EF3-4 but this one photo tells you how dangerous it was, check out those steel beams bent and twisted in the forefront: Tornado Outbreak: Indiana Images - weather.com

My wife called earlier and said that I-24 near Browns Ferry was closed due to power lines across the road. That is just west of Chattanooga, TN. One tornado did touch down on the north side of Chattanooga in Hixson. I don't know about any damage. Chattanooga got hit pretty hard with high winds. My wife said it sounded like the roof was coming off. Another tornado touched down in Georgia around Rome a couple of days ago I understand. Got to stay alert.

Luckily I missed the worst of it sitting in Indy. There were thunderstorms, hail and wind all the way back to Chicago.

Remember the tornado that hit the state line between WI and IL around New Years, a few years ago? I had less than 1.000 pounds in a 53' box, and I was just south of Milwaukee. (Who ever heard of a tornado up north in the middle of winter?????) The less weight you have, the easier it is for the wind to lay you over on your side. If you can incorporate weather alerts with a GPS map, it will do you a great big favor when they start blowing the whistles for the "fancy dancers". Know where you are, and know where the weather is, then either get out of the way or find a low area and sit tight till it's over. Obviously, truck stops are not exactly the safest places to be. And, F-5's have been known to take down overpasses, so ducking under one might not do much good. If it comes down to it, get out, get your butt wet, and let the wind take the truck.

That's one bad thing about the way the CB power is set up in the ProStar's: when you turn the key to the off position, it turns the power off to the CB. So, that keeps the weather alert from working. I know it would be easy to run a new power cable up there, but it's a company truck and all...
Edit: just realized something with the truck (after 6 months of being in it). This truck has the battery powered cooling system (dogbox mounted). Part of that package is the engine auto-start. If that's turned on and the trucks batteries get weak, it automatically starts the engine to charge the batteries. Anyway, when that switch is turned on, the cb keeps power to the circuit. So, that means the next time I'm in the crappy weather, I can use the weather alert thing.
