Maybe they will put in a "real" restaurant at our Flying J here. It would probably help if they replaced the Wendy's with a good eaten restaurant.

According to an article I read a few days ago, the new company will be known as Pilot Flying J.
I have been in a couple of the restaurants that have been converted to Denny's.
The food is pretty good. There is a Pilot in Georgia on I-20 that has a Denny's. They had a special on their grand slam breakfast until 11:00 am. I believe it was $2.99? In any case, it was a welcome change from Subway or McDonald's.

The article that I read also mentioned that the company plans to renovate the driver's lounges in the Flying J's. Hopefully, they will keep the lounges. Otherwise, I may as well start spending my money at TA if I plan on spending some time at the stop.

:lol2: I like the one at Mt. Sterling, tho. Same type of entry/exit... but, more room! And it has a Mickey D's which I like for a breakfast sandwich!

Wasn't there ALREADY a Love's next to the "J" there? Or am I thinking of the town further south? There's a T/A in Corning too, isn't there? (sorry, don't have my T/S book handy here at home... and it's been awhile.)

I stopped in at the J in West Memphis a couple of days ago. Their ATM's have been disconnected and according to the manger all of them in both the Flying J and Pilot's were being disconnected and new ones will be brought in to replace them. Frankly, I didn't see anything wrong with the old ATM's. Perhaps the new ones will be compatible at both the Pilot and Flying J.
By the way, the old Pilot next door has now become a Love's. The newer Pilot that used to be a Williams is still around. I believe there are 26 stores that have been sold to Love's.

They closed the doors of the J in Julesburg Co. Really not much of a parking lot it was big but also dirt and dusty. But it had a decent restaurant. And had been open as a truck stop for 40 years in town. Plus it had they only restaurant in Julesburg.

There was a J, TA and Petro there. You were thinking about the Ripon exit. It has a J and Loves there.
