Wisconsin Trucker Builds Atomic Bomb ![]() I never tried to make one, but I do know the physics of it. Yes, it is simple. It also made it difficult to understand "opening up the Mexican boarder" when the Canadian boarder was being made so difficult to cross. (3 and 4 hours wait to cross back into the USA) Especially, when you can cross, on foot, between the USA and Canada with a backpack on your shoulders without anyone being any the wiser. Of course, if you were to carry the radio-active material, the shielding would give you some pretty heavy footsteps. I don't think a kid would carry a basketball that does not bounce, but he/she might roll it.

Unbelievable. It isn't like I'm looking hard to find these stories. These next 2 ought to make you feel pretty safe . . two from the fuel tanker division . .
Video shows DWI suspect in tanker truck make U-turn on Allen tollway | News for Dallas, Texas | Dallas Morning News | Latest News and Drugs suspected in fiery tanker truck crash on I-15 in Weber County - Salt Lake Tribune In both stories, the driver is being charged with "inhaling the fumes." The second story has a related story in which the driver's boss says "No way. Not this guy." We'll see. In the meantime, you slip-seaters need to be more careful with your accessories. This is a follow up to story 2 . . Trucker charged with driving under the incluence of drugs | Standard-Examiner – Ogden, Layton, Brigham, Weber, Davis, Top of Utah News (incluence?) "The truck driver who crashed a semi-truck full of diesel fuel into a barrier on Interstate 15 in Roy in March was arrested today after authorities received blood test results indicating he was under the influence of illegal drugs when he crashed."

"Apparently, Gill does not speak English. Gill's employer told CNN that he speaks Punjabi, a language spoken in India and Pakistan." Punjabi. Do you think Punjabi falls within the spirit of the "read/speak/comprehend" reg? This is a pretty funny story unless you're Gill. It doesn't say how he managed to clear customs or how the chase was initiated but, boy, did things go downhill for Gill! This version fills in some of the blanks . . http://www.fox11online.com/dpp/news/...tern-wisconsin

If I'm getting this right . . no guarantee there . . this guy ran out of fuel and set fire to four other trucks while attempting to refuel. His wife and his employer seem to think these are acceptable consequences, under the circumstances. Is there some kind of "ISO 2000" standard that applies to running out of fuel and torching the competitition?

How did his company allow him to drive w/o a current medical certificate? I thought truck companies were required to maintain these records of CDL's and medical certificates.

Suspicious semi in Western Wisconsin I am very surprise that the U.S. Customs allows non-English speaking drivers in commercial vehicles entrance into this country. I would think that ICE officials are aware of DOT requirements that "read/speak/comprehend" the English language.

A few months ago I helped another driver jumpstart his truck in a truckstop in California. The driver was with a Canadian truck company from Ontario. He was originally from Russia and spoke very little English. It was very difficult to talk to him but I did get that he drove in Russia for 15-20 years before immigrating to Canada.
