Just maybe that Boss was trying to think of what everyone could use the most. Most places ain't real big into barter to keep your power on or pay for Christmas gifts for your children.

I'm glad that your starting to see that there are two sides to this. Just MHO you should shake his hand and thank him for being able to continue to provide a job for you through these tough times. He must be a good businessman and would be a great source of information for anyone looking to start their own business.
