I've spent many years on this site avoiding topics on religion and politics. I fully remember how over and over, christianity or conservative politics were proven to be pure sheit by some. You'd think after all those years of proof, I'd somehow wise up.

People who consider me a friend, think of me as intelligent, giving, and capable. I've lived through real life insanity far more than most people, and helped save lives because I could stay tethered to reality, and an instrument in God's hands. There are only a few here who know what is going on in my personal life, and the scope of my character.

I try to weigh arguments closely, before adopting them as my own. I've been offering my opionions, doing the best I can to form my thoughts, and base them off current events. My ramped up rhetoric should be understood, just as I've made allowance for many others rhetoric over the years, before Obama.

No one can convince me God does not exist. I have had a personal relationship with God ever since I was a little boy. I won't give many examples of how God had made this relationship real, but I have posted this example before on CAD;

"I was 25 years old, and racing a buddy of mine on a winding Lake Shore road. He was on a Sportster in front of me, and I was on my Triumph Bonneville. I had the superior cornering machine, and was determined to prove it. I started to really lay this Bonnie into the corners, but in a "S" curve, I couldn't recover. I was shooting off the road...and knowing I could not make the turn. There is only a second to react...you know you are going to crash....and the best you can do is try your best to pick your spot for the inevitable.

Straight in front of me is a telephone pole, and a curve road sign. All I had time for is to choose which of the two I was going to hit. Of course I chose the road sign, and leaned into it. It was going to be very close to the telephone pole as well, so I braced to make sure I didn't contact the pole.
Next thing I know, I see both the road sign and the telephone pole flash past me, and I bury the front of my Bonnie into a beach side sand dune, and come to a gentle stop. Not me, or my Bike had even the slightest scratch. How could that BE !! I was certain...CERTAIN I would have to hit something. By this time my buddy comes back looking for me. I'm by the edge of the road, bewildered by what just happened. My motorcycle tracks proved I just went between the sign and the pole...but how? Even surveying the scene...it seemed totally impossible. My friend and I pushed my Bonnie back up to the road and we even put it on it's original tire tracks.

There was absolutely no physical way we could fit the motorcycle on its tracks and lean the Bike or wiggle it, or in any way shape or form get it to go between the Pole and the Sign. The handle bars were actually hitting one or both, and the bulk of the bike would not fit.....yet there were the tracks....and I distinctly remember seeing I had to choose one or the other, and it would be a close call that I didn't hit them both anyway, and then seeing them flash between me."

This is one example of Divine intervention in my life, that I'm willing to share. The point I'm making is...there are some far greater things going on, and the magnificence of life is far greater than our comprehension.

 

Hoggie, that's a great life story, but you're wasting your keystrokes on someone like Hobo. He'll show up and chop it all up and do his level best to illustrate his hatred of you, of God, and of anything that doesn't agree with his liberal athiestic agenda.

OK, now THAT is funny. You are no more a centrist than I am an alien invader chasing after Spaceman Spiff.

You are so far left and one of the biggest liberal vacuum's I've had the displeasure of knowing...really, I've met few people more left leaning than you. You wet your panties every time your president shows up in the news taking more control. It's disgusting, but I take solace in the fact that eventually, YOUR bill will come due. And that time is fast approaching, of that I have no doubt.

As far as me violating the TOS? You might want to simply thank your messiah, you know the one currently masquerading as your president, that you are even still a part of this board. You've consistently violated the TOS, you've driven away long-time members who possess more humanity than you could ever dream about, and you are generally a very unlikeable and hateful guy. I don't know what your problem is - perhaps it's the loneliness from alienating everything family that you ever had in your life. Perhaps you're simply a schmuck, looking to rattle a few cages. Only you can answer that.

But understand one thing. The ice you are standing on is very thin and getting thinner every day. I am not at all worried about the 1 or 2 posters that might complain if you were given a permaban, because all of the "it's about damn time!" posts would drown them out. Maybe it hasn't sunk in with you, but you - in your current nasty personae - are not wanted here and you getting tossed would elicit a New Years Eve type celebration. And of course, it would certainly cut down on my e-mails and private messages demanding that something be done about your hatefulness and your trolling. :roll:

Personally, I couldn't stand to live with myself if I were as hateful as you. What a waste of God's precious gift of mortal life. Maybe someday, you'll figure it out. Maybe someday you'll decide to change things up. But I kinda doubt it. :roll:

I agree Hobo needs to go. Thing is, I'm almost sure he knows this too. This Dr. Jekyll/Mr. Hyde has become more and more Mr. Hyde.

 

Yeah, but you know? What's wrong with changing? We've got some liberals and left-leaning individuals on this board that are actually fairly pleasant. I might not agree with their stances, but I've yet to run across anyone that is anywhere as near as unpleasant as Hobo. Dr. Jekyll is more than welcome to stay. Mr. Hyde is just about done.

I know you don't count me among those emails you get. There are times I rather enjoy Hobo's bantering. I can't say I enjoy his posts when he's the author of a full 24 volume encyclopedia in one post, but I often get to laugh at his ravings. I know he does have a lot of good information as long as you stay away from politics, but at the same time.... I remember being told, back in elementary school (and boy was that a long time ago), "IT'S THE EMPTY TIN CAN THAT MAKES THE MOST NOISE." And, that's what comes to mind when I have to scroll down for 15 to 30 seconds to see his entire post. When does he find time to drive?????

Will I miss him if he's gone? Probably not. There are others on this board that have equally good information. The biggest problem he has... There are three ways to go. The right way, the wrong way, and his way. And, I'm afraid most of us go our own way too.

Global warming? Do you mean the week-long arctic temperatures and yet another major snow storm coming global warming? :roll: Yeah, every time I hear about global warming, er, I mean climate change, I have to laugh. I'm sure ol' Al Gore gets a laugh out of it, too, with all the droolers paying homage (and money) to him. :bow: The guy is the greatest flim flam artist of all time and P.T. Barnum nailed it when he said "there's a sucker born every minute." Gore has managed to harness the whole lot of them.

As far as Hobo goes, there was a time and probably not that long ago, where he was just fine. He had some off-the-wall thoughts and beliefs, but I've never had a problem with even far-left leaners. Heck, I enjoyed and also participated a bit in his religious discussions with Slimland, which I found very interesting and I've always wondered how the son of a Baptist preacher and his father were able to reconcile their vastly different beliefs, but he apparently did all right with it.

But somewhere along the line, something happened and things radically changed. He went from a left winger who tolerated others to a radical left extremist on a jihad against anyone that doesn't believe as he does. And that's what I won't tolerate anymore. Unfortunately, perhaps our penchant for being pretty low-key and tolerant moderators has brought these things to pass. The board has lost some good posters with his change and ya know something? He's one of those good posters that were lost. And that's too bad. But I won't sit back and let the hatred go on anymore. If he can't find the level of decency he once had, then he'll be finding a new home.

Period.

 

I just thought of something..
Ever since they had that big conference, our high temps have only reached up to the 30's. Apparently they got it all figured out, cause it sure aint hot.
