Glad I dont work for TMC

I thought they were governed at 65...
Then again, so are we (but we're also hobbled by '9-speed/top-two' transmissions, turned back engines, and, in some cases, Detroit engines). Ok, I admit it. I like their trucks too, especially their T800's with the external air cleaners.

Most of the caliber driver that drive for TMC are so awestruck by the thought of driving a chromed out polished chicken lit large car, I doubt they read anything before they sign it.
Can't blame TMC though, I am sure there is a long line of suckers willing to prostitute themselves for a chance to drive a Rooster Cruiser. Rooster Cruiser? Good one Part Time Dweller!!

I've had a couple of times when a customer's directions in, worked like a complete flop. About wore the rub-rails off at one. There was no talk of deducting that from my pay. Closest I came to that was picking up a trailer with a damaged roof, and getting pics of the yard-horse backing under a low hanging roof and tearing up more trailers.
Told the safety director, if I was going to be charged for damage to the trailer that was done by the customer's yard-horse, I'd see the company in court.

Fredog, what your friend needs to do is check the labor laws in the state the company is HQ'd at. Quite a few states have laws that prohibit employers from deducting for damages caused by employee's unless the employee agrees to those deductions, in writing, at the time the deductions are made.
The "well you signed a a paper when you hired on" is just one of the cons that trucking companies perpetrate on drivers which depending on the laws of the state they are HQ'd in may not hold up in court.
