AVC, DUDE! Go get some prozak or something. Your VERY comment "the industry places a higher value on OTR experience than they do getting people with work ethic trained and behind the wheel, this leads to a lot of drivers who can drive real well, but may not be all there upstairs", then you said, "companies take into consideration the OTR experience due to insurance companies and may be putting morons on the road in their trucks who are criminally insane due to this factor".
All of that says that YOU ARE SAYING that experienced OTR drivers are criminally insane. WTF Are you on? You sound insane. I read very well thank you, it is you who apparently does not know how to articulate your thoughts into words. Sure, there are insane truck drivers, just as there are insane police, and insane doctors, and insane pilots, and insane teachers, and insane whatever! This has absolutely nothing to do with your profession, it is human frickin nature. If you are that worried, please, lock yourself up in a nice little bubble somewhere far far away from people. I have yet to get murdered, hell I don't even know a single person whom ever got murdered! Ohh by the way, most companies do indeed do a criminal background check, and you bet I would much rather see EXPERIENCED DRIVERS on the road rather then newbies. Work ethic has nothing to do with it either!

No Mat, you have a comprehension problem, not a reading problem and you are using imaginary and manipulative tactics in an attempt to reword what I write on this forum according to what YOU THINK OR HOW YOU WISH TO FRAME WHAT I POST HERE !!!!

I don't care what driver a company hires, beit an experienced OTR driver, or a newbie, both have an equal chance of being insane! It makes no damn difference. Like I said before, it doesn't even matter what industry it is, every person you see could potentionally be insane! There is not, never has been, and never will be any correlation between truck drivers and serial killers! Just because there have been a few serial killers that happened to be truck drivers, does not make us as truck drivers some special serial killing group!

Then why is the FBI watching truckers real close now ??
Do you think they are watching newspaper delivery drivers as close or bus drivers ?
