JR...I have a friend at work that has adopted 3 children. All have gone through the hoops with CPS here in Lubbock. CPS is overloaded with kids and not enough foster families that there are kids living AT THE CPS facility! That is crazy. They are in need of so much. I was going to force myself to have a garage sale...but that hasn't worked for the last 3 years so I know I'm just kidding myself. Then I was going to donate it to Goodwill or Salvation Army or something...but now I think I'm going to clean it all up and give it to CPS. Some of the stories that I hear from this guy at work are so sad. He and his wife just got a little foster child...a two month old little boy. He smelled like smoke, everything in the bag that his family hurridly packed for him was filthy, had urine and poop on it. And the baby had dirt undeneath his fingernails! How does a two month old get dirt under his fingernails! And he had head lice. I can't imagine what some of the kids are living through. I have a bunch of stuff that I really want to pass along to them, since I don't have extra money to buy new things or donate...I would if I could. If you get the opportunity, pass that information around to those in your church that are looking to help people this season. CPS need many things to care for many kids these days.

Folks would be amazed on how many families that are out there that have nothing, and kids that have nothing for Christmas.
