Anybody know of a good place to get a CB around the Dallas area, I dont mind if its used just seeing if anybody knows any good honest people.

 

You know where Bowie is? About an hour north of Ft. Worth on HWY 287. (30 minutes north of Decatur) Rusty's Cb Shop. It's behind the Armadillo Truck Stop. I think, the exit is HWY 59.
If you want him to fix a radio for ya, and I don't know how far he is from ya, but it would be worth the drive. Rusty is good as gold. He knows radios like Tom Landry knew football. (I don't know where that came from)
Rusty knows his stuff, and he can fix ya up.
He has new, and used radios for sale. He's got some Cobras, and even has some Connex radios.

 

This guy at my work told me about a cb shop that sold new and used down in dallas so I went down there today and bought a Galaxie 949 for 75 bucks, I didnt think that was to bad of a deal.But I will be getting some syuff done to it, I'll probably go your guy and get that done.

Yeah, that sounds like a good deal. Rusty can get the radio checked out for ya. He can hook it up, and do all the tests, and do whatever you want done to it. (echo, etc)

 

Ya the radio looks brand new too, no scratches nothing looks like it came right out the box. I wanted peeked and tuned and a mild echo put in nothing crazy just some mild stuff.

I dont know alot about the Galaxies but I think just as basic as they go but by far does'nt seem like a cheap radio.

 

Yeah $75 is cheaper than buying new for certain I think the 949 sells for about $150.00 new ...A good place to buy a CB used are the CB shops .
