Default I love the INSTANT BREAKFAST this time of year

Eggs are a great source of nutrition...
Nearly EVERYBODY eats eggs...
We've even had a thread about how people fix their eggs...

But, this time of year, reach into the frig and wrap your hands around a quart of eggs for breakfast...

EGG NOG!!!! :clap::lol2::bow::nixon::band::jump::bigclap:

Look at any home recipe for it, and you'll realize that in one quart, you have the protien of about half a dozen eggs. No cooking, no sticking to the pan, no yoke running all over the plate... Just put it to your lips and enjoy.

And, Hobo... If you want, you can even SPIKE it and enjoy it on your "line-5".:lol::lol::rofl::rofl::bow::bow:

I went to the food store about a week ago, and needed to get some milk. There was a whole section with eggnog of EVERY variety.... pumpkin and some others I can't remember. I didn't buy any.... it is still a guilty pleasure that I rarely let myself buy. But, as Christmas approaches I probably will. Especially now that I know how "good" it is for me!

I've only had eggnog once, and the person who made it turned it into a line 5 item. Basically, it tasted like a glass of rum with a splash of milk. It was disgusting.

I don't see how anybody could make a line 5 item out of eggnog . Yuck!!!

I do like eggnog tho. Looking forward to it being back on the shelves for the season.

Sounds like that could lead to spending some time on "line 7"

(Line 7 = hung over & nauseated and/or regurgitating.)

I don't enjoy mine spiked. Mine is "UNLEADED"... There are companies that make it with a great flavor, and there are companies that don't have a recipe worth a darn. In most cases, you can improve the flavor with a dash of nutmeg, but some require a whole bottle of ground nutmeg, and it's still not very good. Rev, in your area, try the eggnog off the shelf at any KWIK TRIP. Theirs is generally one of the better brands. And, if you don't like it, save the rest for me.

What ever brand they had at the Flying J in Des Moines, IA, I won't bother with theirs. Dean Foods has a good flavor too. Even if I do not like the rest of their milk products. Here in FL, T. G. LEE is one of the more popular brands of milk, but their eggnog isn't.

On a side note. I do have a recipe for "HOMEMADE EGGNOG", and it's very good. However, I only do that one if I need a laxative. When you make your own out of raw eggs, you run the same risk of getting sick from the... Is it "SALMONALA"?? If I drink homemade, in 24 hours, or less, I'm no longer full of sh$t...:lol::lol::lol: But, once it's been pasturized, I no nonger get that effect.

Sorry, line 6 has already been defined as "stinking up the room." But, that means it could still apply! (see windwalker's post.) :lol:
