Angry There's nothing like holiday traffic...

especially in the rain and the dark.

I have a load going into NH for tomorrow and what a joy it was driving today. Traffic was heavy on I-78, but moving. I-287, no major problems. I-684, the last 2 miles before I-84 took a little over an hour. I stopped at the rest area in Danbury, checked the traffic reports and both Google and Live showed that it was moving without delay. So, I decided to drive further.

Well, I'd hate to see what an actual delay looks like then. From the rest area at Danbury on I-84 to the rest area at Southington on I-84 it's 40 miles. It took 2 1/2hrs to drive.

Anyone else having the same fun?

Yeah...I'm sitting at home watching movies and enjoying myself. Why aren't you?

Shame on you. I woulda thought you knew better than to be north of Olympia after 1 PM, on the day a holiday weekend starts. Especially Thanksgiving!!! What did it take you....5 hours...to get from Mount Vernon to Exit 99??

I am glad that I am home. It is nice to not have to deal with all the holiday traffic. Actually, I thought it would be much worse than I have seen this week.

Got on 5 SB at exit 221, traffic moving at 60 plus, scale closed at everett, then just past everett at 189 everthing came to a stop..... then it was less than 25 mph all the way to exit 99..... I'm thinking that I should have taken 405 SB and bypassed Seattle and got back on I-5 at the mall.....

Portland, ME to Cranbury, NJ: 356 miles in only 9 hours! The goal was Baltimore but the heck with that. The crabcakes will still be there on my next trip through . .

LOL...Yeah...You might have saved an hour taking the 405....maybe....but most likely not. Once your north of the Ship Canal on the day which is a holiday start, after 1pm...yer toasted. I really don't think 405 would have helped..but it might have.
