well said twilight. I have to agree. one of the beautiful things about our great nation is the fact that nothing is permanent other than our basic rights. things change to adapt to the current needs and ideas of the world we live in. nothing has happend that can't be fixed or changed and the same can be said of the future.

( side note: By no means do I down play the sacrifices so many have given for the war. any man or woman who wears a uniform for this great nation and any family of those persons will always be owed a great debt of gratitude.)

our system is designed so that no one person or group of persons has absolute power. therefor no one person or group can be blamed for everything.

the significance of this presidency is the fact that it shows how far we have come in the past 50 years. from the civil liberty issues and woman's rights of the 60's and 70's etc. 40 years ago and probably even ten years ago no would believe a black man could be president and a woman could run for vice president.

America is still in its teenage years compared to many nations. we will have growing pains and ups and downs. there will be mistakes made and many corrections and changes. some good some bad, but it is the very nature of change and growth and the ability of our system to allow it to happen that makes it the greatest system in the world.

it is the law of nature: adapt or die.

I for one am just glad we have someone that can speak. If we are going to get screwed over it would at least be nice to be able to tolerate listening to the person. if nothing else that is one change I can embrace with open arms.

I thought it was a funny how WV voted yesterday. WV is a purely democratic state and has been for as long as I could remember. Not so with the voting. Ok, I guess we're still racist here in the sticks.

I would have to agree. I live in Morgantown WV and WV is more blue than the color blue. WV never votes republican If charles manson (D-WV) was running against God (R-WV) manson would win in a landslide. Race definetley was an issuse in WV. and thats SAD.
