Why would I brag? It was a comparision but if sharing bothers you,
I'll keep it to myself.
PS....

Without a doubt, Colin, you are absolutely correct.

When the wife got her DUI, she had to go to classes about drinking and driving. That is exactly what she was told. If you have more than one alcoholic beverage in a year, you are an alcoholic. Those were the words of the instructor of the class. To try to find it online? I have no idea where to look for a link. And, although, my own opionion of her may run a close parallel to your own, it really doesn't matter. She's the one that has the job and is certified by the state to teach the course. So, her opinion would seem to be worth far more than yours or mine. They are the ones that set the standards for you and I to live by. I'm quite sure a number of people have disagreed with her on that, and if the state disagreed also, she would not have that job.
I do go to a bar every now and then. My beverage of choice is generally ROOT BEER. But, I've had about 4 wine-coolers this year. That, by their standard, makes me an alcoholic as well.
So, now, you translate that to drugs, and where does that leave you?

The info you state was given at the class is wrong.
Maybe the info was referring to a person who already was an alcoholic (using the definition I posted) having one drink a year is an alcoholic, because that is true.

In all honesty, I think the counsellor needs counselling. She also suggested that my wife was abusing her inhalor because she uses it more than once a week for asthma. And, when one guy admitted he went to a bar and had a couple of beers, they gave him extra classes. (You don't get your license back till you complete the course, and the more classes you have to have, the more money they get.)
And, for those of you that may not be aware of it... If you use PRIMATINE MIST for asthma, you can get a DUI up to 4 hours later, without ever touching a drink. Other inhalors are pretty much the same thing.

Along with anyone who would buy and repeat that nonsense without checking it out first. You know the show "Smarter than a 5th grader?"
That ridiculous definition of alcoholism wouldn't even have stumped the average school kid.... unless he'd been living under a rock.
