The biggest clue that this is a BS story is that the DOP (DOJ) is moving freight for a private company with government tags with a government owned vehicle. That would never happen!!!! That is opening up a HUGE liability to the US Government that just isn't going to happen. You can google till you turn blue, there is NO pilot program were convicts are being contracted to move freight. Can you imagine if that truck was envolved in a fatality accident? The lawsuit would be in the BILLIONS!!!!!!! I agree our government might do stupid things but they aren't that stupid to allow convicts to haul freight on public highways. Think about it, the government hires private company's to move government owned freight because of the liabilty. It's just stupid that you would believe that story.

I guess I should change my moniker to Former Part Time Dweller. I gave up the lifestyle 3 years ago, and that was only dwelling Mon- Fri. I was never a super trucker like yourself, I couldn't stand the stench, or the trucker tales.
Actually its saturday and sunday . Sorry some of us arent independently wealthy like yourself and 95% of other drivers who just do it to "travel the country". Isnt golden girls on? Wouldnt want to miss it.

I believe you MDCA. There is bound to be some independent information out there about this program. We'll find it.

Were they local or OTR drivers?
I mean serious,if I thought it would stir up this much controversy I would of taken pics with my cell phone.lol.But ahh,I guess since it never happened that wouldnt of been possible.People act like this is something like totally absurd. Whats the difference from this than a murderer or rapist being paroled every single day in this country. And then going to work for some hole in the wall operation. Some people are trapped in their little bubble where they think all the bad guys are trapped away in their little cell never to see daylight again.Hell, alot of prisons in this country have their own SCHOOLS inside their institution that train inmates as a vocation to drive trucks. Not something so serious though,if you dont believe me then dont. Seems like so many people are so unhappy with their own lives that they need to jump at the first opportunity to get into an argument. Nobody on this board is worth me cooking up some story.Truck drivers are known for their tall tales though, this I cant deny.lol. However what I saw is what I saw, from the truck to the ankle bracelets that looked like those house arrest monitoring bracelets,if you dont believe that then you can shove your tire thumper up your arse(except you part time dweller, wouldnt want you to get any enjoyment). =)

You got that right Ben, by Federal law, the truck would have to have an apportioned plate and an IFTA sticker to haul interstate for hire. This story stinks worse than the TV room at the TA on a hot summer day.

This Marten driver is a typical BBR, he will never admit he made up a BS story, just keep digging the hole deeper hoping more of his type will jump on board, just like they do on the CB. But as I said before, this isn't the CB, he can't run off into the sunset never to be heard again. Around here, the more he runs his mouth, the more everyone sees through his BS.

Wont make that mistake again.
You didn't say anything about JB Hunt's contract expiring in your original post. The way you posted it sounded like they worked for JB Hunt and JB was using a government truck. Perhaps you need to proof read your posts before hitting submit. That way it might be more clear to those of us who read your posts.

Man you gotta love this place!
Where else can you find a bunch of grown men sitting around bitching about useless crap for hours on end.

These weekends are KILLING me.
Thank God it's Monday!

Just out of idle curiousity, didn't it make you think they might be bsing you when they said this? I imagine you might be able to live on the road for $125 a week, but not for the whole month.

Wow...99% of all trucking companies will not hire a felon, but the government will!

No, seriously, the government will hire anybody. Besides...who's gonna sue the gub'ment and win?

Since when does the government have a contract to haul freight FOR JB Hunt?

Everything else about the story makes perfect sense and I believe it 100%.
