I'm not sure if your trying to make a joke here or your being sarcastic?

We pretty much did away with Christmas and turned it into a Holiday Season. We removed anything that says "God" on a Federal or State so we don't offend non-Christians. We bow down to ANY foreign nationality or race in an attempt to not make them feel offended. We treat enemy combatants better and give them better living conditions than injured AMERICAN soldiers returning from war. We won't even drill for oil on US soil because it might upset the wildlife.

But you think we are going to take over the Middle East because of our thirst for oil?

I don't know of any other reason to invade and occupy. If the oil wasn't there I doubt if there would be much interest in Iraq or the atrocities that occured there in the past.

...and one reason I think we don't drill for oil on our own soil is the good folks who have so much invested in the middle east will do anything they can to do to have us get our oil from them and not from somewheres else and not thru them (someone has to be funding the enviromentalist)...the Iraq war is one of the biggest scams ever perpetrated on the American people and it is actually humorous watching the mainstream media and the pres candidates speak on thier theories and ideas about the war...all the while NOBODY mentioning a goal! and leaving Iraq ain't gonna' happen, we are there for good and the good folks who got us in there (our elected (yeah rite) lobbyist swilling canks in DC) darn well knew that in the beginning but just neglected to relay that detail to the US people at the time, and we can't stop now, we must forge onward, stay the course, whatever it takes...to rule the middle east and thusly the planet, we, yeah rite like I am part of it...keep paying your taxes, fuel bills, the Iraq war cost over $15 billion@month, do you know what a billion is???? things will get better, you can just feel it comin'...

It is already better, but some refuse to admit it or in some cases even see it.

Anyway, I don't think "the Iraq war is one of the biggest scams ever perpetrated on the American people," hands down it is Global Warming.

Exactly, what you have us do about the war, turn tail and run. Look what happened in Viet Nam.

As far as what the war cost, well, we can't take it with us. We might as well spend it.

I don't agree with the President on everything he does. The war is one that I do.

I'd have to ask folks who live over there before I could determine if it is better because I don't believe a word I hear on the TV or radio

how does the global warming charade even affect our daily lives, surely nowhere near what our actions in the middle east do

turn tail and run, just leave, I wouldn't call it turn tail and run, maybe we should commission some big tour ships and start shipping Iraqis over to USA and they could compete the the illegals coming in for jobs I don't want to do...but there is an upside to all that also, there are numerous global corporations getting ready to set up shop in the USA and we will have lots of work here, as soon as the dollar falls and the US people are a better bargain than our far east counterparts the corporations will manufacture here...imagine that, we will be manufacturing widgets and gadjets for the Chinese before it's all over

yeah spend it, what the heck, we can just print more anyway can't take it with you you'd prolly fit rite in down in DC with that mindset about my money

I really don't have a constructive comment on our current pres other than I am sure he has done a good job, for whoever he is working for because it sure ain't me

So very true, if there wasn’t oil in Iraq, we sure wouldn’t be there. The war is all about oil and personal revenge. There were no terrorists in Iraq before the invasion, they were in Afghanistan. WMD, terrorists bases and uranium were all fabrications. Same as the Gulf of Tonkin. Troops and equipment were withheld from Afghanistan and finding Bin Laden and the other murderers, for the planned invasion of Iraq. The terrorists are still out there in Afghanistan and Pakistan, the USA is now in a quagmire in Iraq. We will be there for years to come, DO NOT believe any of the presidential candidates, i.e.: Hilary or Obama, that they will pull out our troops and end the war, never happen! Business as usual. And the business is big oil, and the military industrial complex.
Jobs are not returning to the USA from China. Another fabrication from corporate America. Until the illegals will work for 26 cents a hour, and localities totally ignore all environmental laws on a massive scale, those jobs are staying in China. (Bruce Springsteen, “My Home Town,“) Its all about profits. Theirs not yours. Corporate America could care less about your family or the future of this country, its pure greed, plain and simple.
Might want to listen to the scientists on Global Warming. Maybe a better term would be “industrial” or “atmospheric” pollution. Currently in China there are new cancers in some of the population rarely seen 10-15 years ago. It will take another generation or two before the full effects to be seen. China may eventually become a environmental cesspool. To toxic to inhabit, same as if we dropped a nuclear bomb on them.
Bush and the pro war politicians always speak of democracy, yet we allow American companies to lay off American workers so the corporation can move to China, and then give them a tax break on building their new multi million dollar polluting plants in a COMMUNIST country? A COMMUNIST country, run by the military, where so called basic “human rights” do not exist. What hypocrisy!!!!

Windwalker "quoted" :

these are powerful thoughts... pass them on!!!... james
Sorry, WW.... I have always respected you (and still do,) but this is absolute TRASH!

Nearly EVERY statement made in the inflammatory email you chose to "pass on," is INCORRECT, unfounded, biased and worthless! I HOPE this thread survives long enough for me to return to it with some clarifications. Meanwhile...... consider this:

Every president you listed was a "Wartime President" (to SOME extent) and therefore subject to some disapproval based solely on Americans' "supposed" distaste for WAR...... yet.....

Compare the approval ratings (at their LOWEST if you wish) for EACH of the presidents you listed.... and compare them to Dubya's!!

And PLEASE LIST THEM!

Of course, there IS more to the Thread Question than JUST war.... but on nearly EVERY facet of it.... the answer is still a resounding NO!!

I must admit to being disappointed, WW. I really thought YOU were above "buying" and spreading this type of "internet arson."
