Sturbridge is the closets TS, unless you use the service plaza closer to Boston. Also have the TA at Ruby Road Exit 71 in CT.
I'm at Sturbridge now. I thought about stopping at the service plazas but then I remembered how they have like 5 parking spots. Hopefully traffic isn't too bad going into Cambridge. I've never had to go past the 495 loop so I'm probably being optimistic. My appointment time is 09:00 and per the directions they don't want us in there much before the appointment time.

Sturbridge Isle, used to actually be an OK place to stop. Since Pilot took over, its about like any other Pilot.
Yeah. The service plazas are very lame for parking, and if you go that far to check them out, you have to commit to them cause there is no place else to go.
Where you delivering in Cambridge. I did a "nut" load into there not to long ago. I was told the same think about the "showtime", as there is not place to park except in the right lane against the curb. Until you are put into the dock, then you take up 2 lanes, sticking out into traffic, and it was a blindside into that garage.

I'm waiting to deliver right now at Tootsie Roll/Cambridge Brands off of Massachusetts Ave. and State Street. I got assigned a load coming out of the same place. We have a drop trailer here but they don't have it loaded yet. It wasn't a complete nightmare coming in here but it certainly wasn't easy. I pulled up Google Earth and I should be able to get out of here pretty easy. 8) 8)

I'm in Newton,KS for the night. Tomorrow...one of the casino's west of Albuquerque, I haven't chosen yet.

The other day I was able to make it out of Cambridge but not until after I drove around downtown for 20 minutes. Not so awesome in a truck. My planned route didn't work out when you can't see the sign because of tree branches and flowers hanging from the sign posts. With only my sense of direction I was able to make it back to the toll road somehow. I thought I was royally screwed and was going to ask one of the cops walking around directing traffic but handled it myself. 8) 8)

Ohhh..Yeah. Happened to me several years ago. Downtown Boston. Wasnt supposed to be downtown. Took a bad turn. Try to "box" yourself back to the correct road. But the "box" doesnt look anything like a box, then you get that sick feeling in your gut that you are screwed. Found a beat cop. Stopped in the middle of the road. He came over. I asked "how do I get back to I-93. (or any road that starts with an I. wasnt picky at that point)

Tonight...Scranton/Dupont, Pa Petro...34hr reset. Dont think Ill be hangin' out here all day tomorrow, though. Driving on personnel time.

I've been meaning to get a GPS unit. I probably need just a cheaper one but can't help but get one of the expensive ones with all the goodies. That's how I am with everything. Cars, TV's, computers, got to get the best. I'll probably break down and get a cheap one though since I really only want it to remind me of remaining mileages and upcoming roads. It's a real pain in the ass trying to finds streets at night.

Tonight I'm at the Route 66 Casino near Albuquerque. After hitting the buffet I played blackjack for over 2 hours with my chip stack going up and down only to break even when I decided I was done for the night. I was going to finish my run off tomorrow but decided to stick around and finish it off on Sunday because Andrew Dice Clay is here tomorrow night so I'm going to check that out. 8) 8)
