I've invested $1K and see that as of yesterday it was worth about $1,300.
For breakdowns, I keep an eye on my Truck Condition, once it gets 1% lower than my Max Truck Condition, I go ahead and do a repair. Cheap and I have not had a breakdown(knock on wood) unless I let it get more than 1%.

Yeah, I wish it didn't burn up a fatigue point, but it's much cheaper than paying $80 for a breakdown when I can pay $3-4.
