There is no sign there in spanish on N/B or S/B 5. There are signs all over SD county with the family running across the highway. Mostly in the South Bay.

Báscula para pesar camiones. Son básculas de gran capacidad de peso que se instalan en la entrada de muchas empresas y en las carreteras para pesar directamente a los camiones que acceden a las empresas o controlarlos en las carreteras por si llevan exceso de carga. Okay, good... that's one thing I hate about message boards is the way the things you write can be taken out of context and the whole thread turns into an argument!

I just got a picture of both signs- I didn't see "not a truck route" on Smokey Bear Rd but it's there for Hammer lane- I think. I'll have to go look through my pictures.

Would that be in Oregon?? Or, LIKE I SAID, in the "border area?"

Nice try, PackRat..... but like I said.... a LETTER of protest!! They can DOT my "letter" if they want!!
Golfhobo,

I just got a fax from the DOT. Your letter of protest was so heavy with sarcasm they are sending you an overweught ticket. As near as I can tell you owe them one hundred and fifty million pecos.
