Default Laptop desks

Im on a break (taking a month or two off) and thinking about building some Affordable laptop desks if there would be any interest.

The idea currently is to build removeable desks (no drilling etc). One of the mounts to the seat with the second either a leg for the floor or to the dash.
The top will be 3way adjustable as will height. Built from aluminum and maybe plexiglass. Even thinking of more advanced versions with a space for a usb drive and a builtin fan. The price should be around $99. Any thoughts?

ps if this is in the wrong forum please feel free to move/remove it

Is this what you're talking about? This one costs $215.

Yes Sir. The model that was shown to me looked like it, could have been the exact same stand, but was marked up to $299.00. The Gentleman that started this thread has a great idea as long as the line-of-sight and close proximity to the end of my long arm is acceptable, he's got a winner.

it's called a ram mount http://www.ram-mount.com/nodrillsyst...uck_mounts.htm no drill starting at $177. we have had it for over a year and love it. check ebay we found it NEW for $175 with free shipping. when you order one make sure you order it with the new clips so you can close and latch the laptop and order the screen holder.

we had that cybertrucker :dung: all it is is two nose mirror mounts and a letter tray you can get at walmart.

btw when thay ship you will have to put it all togther and if you call thay will tell you to figure out how to make it work in your truck. and in most trucks it will be tilted 45 degreds to one side

if you want to move closer, further away or so the passenger can get into the seat it will take ou 3-5 min and two wrenches to do it.

the fans blow the wrong way and almost burned out my cpu (took the air away from the cpu's cooling fan).

on the older ones the fans had NO COVERS so if you went to move it you put your fingers into the moving fan blades, when told all thay did was put fan covers on the new ones but would not sent then to the people that had the older ones.

to top it off when the new tray came out i got an email about getting the new tray for $69 and i had to take MY OLD fans off my old tray to use on the new one. the screen holder he has doesn't HOLD the screen all it does is keep it from opening to far and if you want to change ware the screen is you have to bend it. it is a complete and utter piece of garbage
