I used to be a vender at gunshows every weekend. After a while I started to write down all the really stupid questions asked. I was going to write an article or a book. I stopped after about 5 pages. It is really scarey all the stupid people with guns.

when i drove a honeydipper it said on the side AQUA WASTEWATER INC. and it also said SEPTIC TANK PUMP OUTS and GREASE TRAPS CLEAN. People would always say to me is that sh*t in that tank. Or they see AQUA and say can you haul pool water to my house.

True, Jackrabbit, but there is still an issue of perspective involved here.

Boredom is often the results of other things going as expected with no major complications; upheavals don't really leave too much room for boredom.

If that's the case ,then just kick back, enjoy the drive, and give thanks......and if you find yourself rolling down the granny lane in a line truck that is governed at 65mph, (as many line trucks are!!) being passed by the "real trucks" that run the hammer lane, then just thik about the hurdles the driver who is passing you may well be facing.

Now, if that doesn't take care of the (perceived) problem of boredom, then ask yourself a question that I have always encouraged other people to ask themselves.

Here is the question:

Has the greatest day of your life happened yet??

If it hasn't, then ask yourself this question:

"What can I do to make the greatest day of my life happen happen??"

Keep your eyes on the road, and your mind on what you are doing, but start thinking about it. What would that "greatest day" bring?? Start envisioning it. Think about the things that would be happening.....then, start thinking about what you can do to make it happen!!

Now, if the greatest day of your life HAS happened, (and mine HAS already happened!!) then go back and revisit that "Greatest Day"....remember it, rellish it, give thanks for that "Greatest Day", and the joy that it brought.

Then, ask youself one more question:

"Since the "Greatest Day" of MY life has already happened, what can I do to help others feel the joy of experiencing the "Greatest Day" in THEIR lives??"

Think about that, think about the things you can do to make it happen, start planning for it, and then you will have absolutely NO room for boredom in your life, or in your scheduled line run.

Remember the words of the ledgendary football player Rosey Greer:

"You may be the ONLY Jesus some people will ever see!!"

Boredom is only an enemy or an adversary if you allow it to be!!

Sorry, didn't mean to hijack the thread...... now, getting back to "Stupid Questions!!!

Not work related, but returning to the dock, unloading wetsuits, tanks, fins, dive bags, and spearguns from the boat, and having someone walk up to me and ask:

"So, have you been Scuba diving??"

Man! Good writing, Useless. Yeah, very true. Many aspects that are so true.

But yeah, I've had some customers ask me some really highly educated questions. We dont have severe winters here, but when I was working days, delivering every day, I wore shorts a lot in the winter time. It was kinda cold in the morning, but once I got rolling, I was sweating as if it was 100 outside. I've had customers ask me if I am cold, wearing shorts, in the winter, when sweat is rolling off me.

Very True!!

Of course, being a Native Texan, perhaps I should mention that some people down in these parts put on their longjohns when the temperature dips down below 70!!

When i ran a tow truck it was VERY common to be working an accident scene , ya know with a mangled car upside down in the middle of the road or whatever, and some rubbernecker stop to ask "what happened?"

I started telling them it just fell out of the sky.
