All day? Are we taking exaggeration pills today? I'm not holding up traffic, I'm just making some impatient underpaid frustrated cry baby get off the gas a little And as for being a "___", I'll bet if we had a contest and asked the general public what upsets them more, being tailgated by BBR or being passed a little slowly, which bothers them, I know what the answer would be.

You won't GAIN much, since you're not much faster than him!

I'm not out to "gain" anything, I'm not trying to win some race nor am I in a contest.

And if you see me in your mirror, bearing down on you at a higher speed, and you pull out at the last minute to pass, you're an even BIGGER AZZ!

Different topic and of course your use of the terms you chose is VERY telling, so all day you are bearing down on people?

And, don't MAKE me get on the CB and TELL you when you've cleared him by MORE than 2 trucklengths!

Don't bother yelling dumb things on the radio, mine is rarely if ever on because of dumb hicks on the radio trying to tell other drivers with more brains and skill how to drive. It's none of you business when I decided to move back over in front of another vehicle.. does and make you mad or something?

And if, when I finally get back up to speed and pass you, don't LET me find you on the cellphone - totally OBLIVIOUS to the bullsh$t you just pulled!!!

Again when and if I decide to get on the cellphone (rarely if ever do I drive and talk on the cell) It's still none of your business nor should you really care. How often are you bearing down on people while on the phone oblivious to proper following distances? Sounds like its an all day thing for you. And Mr Rambo.. what If I AM on the cellphone?

This happens at least 20 times a day!! It is clearly the most UNPROFESSIONAL thing a "driver" can do to his brotherhood!

I'm not your brother and if I where, I'd have to take you behind the woodshed for some manners lessons. it's obvious no one else did during your upbringing. There are very few drivers these days that I have much to anything to do with or proclaim any relation too.

But then, I'm not sure you would understand that!

I watch national geographic specials on chimps and other apes, but I also do not clam them as brothers. I probably would enjoy their discussions more than yours anyway.

And you've CLEARLY shown that you just don't CARE!

I care plenty, I do not have time to care about low foreheads who are constantly running up people's rear ends all day and cannot understand simple concepts or get into mind numbed rage over the fact that someone may have to pass or give another driver some room to enter or exit a ramp. You dare call me selfish when you are demanding that everyone and everything stay completely out of your way "or else". Grow up!

I bet you drive (or drove) for J.B. Hunt, don't you?

I did a t one time.. and? I still go out and drive the speed limits or even 5 under on the 70MPH freeways here. Does than make me some sort of arch enemy of the BBR club? I'll match my record against any of you "gotta go" punks any day of the week and beat you in every category you can name. Of course since most of you goons cannot keep records of what you do in case of some legal trouble and the threat of self incrimination, thats impossible.

This has to be the most stupid post I have ever read, bottom of the barrel shi^. Go figure....lol

I agree and understand what you are talking about. It's rare that I ever pass another truck, and when I'm passed by another governed I slow down and let him by if they are holding people up in the hammer lane.

you are a professional who actually considers other drivers. that is rare these days and I commend you, I bet you didnt go to a 2 week driver school did you? I would bet that you learned from someone who trucked for a long time and understands how things are. am I right or wrong?
When you drive the slowest truck on the road your in that situation every time you get behind the wheel, I also pull doubles so my trailers move around more than a 53' foot trailer. If I am the slowest truck I think it's better and SAFER to yield to the faster trucks.

I actually went to a CDL mill. I had prior experience pulling a 40 ft trailer hauling cars so I really just needed to learn how to shift, and get familiar with driving something bigger.

I also want to the option to be able to drive for who ever I want to drive for and to do that you need a clean drivers record, no accidents, good experience and good resume. Roadway is a great company to drive for but UPS Package is where the money's at. They hire feeder drivers off the streets in Columbus, Ohio but you need 3 years pulling doubles and a very clean record. Not saying thats where I want to be, but that option is a good one to have.

Currently, because of a team driver who needs 30 minutes just to wash his hands, I trip plan at only 50 mhp average! When, I find myself falling behind that goal, I see myself getting home at 3 in the morning instead of 9 at night. Yeah, it chaps my azz!

I'm no BBR!! If I HAD a triple digit truck, I would STILL drive no more than 5 over. But, when I'm doing 70-75 in a 70-75 mph zone, and some idiot pulls out and blocks me doing 1 mile faster than the truck he's been slovenly following for the past 15 minutes or so... causing me to hit the brakes, and lose all my momentum for the next hill.... yeah.... I get STEAMED!!

If you don't understand that, you belong at home (the OLD FOLKS HOME) with Fozzy!
If waiting on traffic causes you to get "steamed", as you put it, than perhaps it's time to find another profession where dealing with traffic is part of the job description.

Aggression will get you nowhere in this business. It is because of aggressive drivers that there are so many regulations being dumped upon the industry.

Take a deep breath, count to 10, and relax.

Of course, you can always use that adverse driving exemption to get home........ :P

Yall know that when on the Interstate, oncoming vehicles must yield, you do not have to move over to let them in. I was taught to keep my foot in it and let the oncoming vehicles find their own way in. Now if it's a truck, I will try to hop into another lane to cut'em a break but if a faster truck is barreling up my left side, tough cookies on the entering truck, I'm staying put in the slow lane. I have yet to have a problem with that.

With apologies to the REV, this is the easiest way to reply to these kinds of posts... and I didn't SAY I was speeding! I'm just a faster truck trying to make it up the next hill - usually HEAVIER than some of you toilet paper haulers!

If you take all day to pass him, and hold up traffic while doing so, you're an AZZ!!

Yes, Fozzy! I'm exaggerating JUST a bit to make a point. And yes, I've seen a string of trucks AND 4wheelers 1/4 mile LONG being held up by drivers doing what I'm "railing" against. I'm not really blaming it all on YOU! As for your "contest," you've missed the point! It's not about being tailgated, or "BEING PASSED" too slowly... how about asking them if they are more upset by being tailgated (if that is what you want for one criteria) or being HELD UP FOREVER trying to get past two equally governed trucks holding up BOTH/ALL lanes? I think I know the answer to THAT one! (you need to READ a little more closely!)

You won't GAIN much, since you're not much faster than him!

I'm not out to "gain" anything, I'm not trying to win some race nor am I in a contest.

Then why are you trying to pass a truck that you are no faster than?? It will not cause you to downshift or lose momentum to just stay behind him.

And if you see me in your mirror, bearing down on you at a higher speed, and you pull out at the last minute to pass, you're an even BIGGER AZZ!

Different topic and of course your use of the terms you chose is VERY telling, so all day you are bearing down on people?

NO, this is the topic "I" brought up, and YOU are responding to. Learn to read! And by "bearing down" I mean that, from a distance of maybe 1/4 mile behind you, IF you look in your mirror, you'll EASILY see that I am "closing in" on you FASTER than you can POSSIBLY get around that truck and clear my path! If you would just wait maybe 15 seconds, I will be by you and GONE! To ignore that fact, and pull out and block me is unconscionable (sp?) for a PROFESSIONAL driver.... and "I" won't even do that to a 4wheeler!

More brains and skill?? That's a laugh! If you had ANY brains or skill, you'd do what you could to maintain the SAFE flow of traffic! But then, THAT is something they teach in CDL school.... and unfortunately MANY of you guys out there learned by the seat of your pants! If you are in the fast lane, and holding up traffic, and are WAY beyond the safe distance to move over, it IS my business, and you are woefully negligent in your truck driving skills! By the same token, I bet you are one of those who, if you COULD, would pass me doing 15mph faster than me, then SLOW down to match my speed.... just inches off my front bumper.... and WAIT (like a forlorn lover) for me to "flash" you over when there are 2 miles of open road in front of you! I see it ALL the time!! And I'll bet you are one of those who don't even "get it!"

Again, Fozzy, it wasn't ALL about YOU! I guess you could call it a "generalization" or a "parody." But, to answer your question.... about 20 times in a 10 hour period do I "close in" on a slower truck that I expect to be able to pass, and then he pulls over at the last minute. And when I finally get by him, he is USUALLY on his cellphone! Personally, I rarely talk on the cellphone while driving, but if I do, I am not "bearing down" on anyone, and I am certainly NOT oblivious to my surroundings. I am VERY conscious of following distances (hence my earlier comment,) and it seems that I can just about BET on the fact that, when I encounter such a situation as I'm talking about, invariably, the perpetrator is on his cellphone! Yes.... it happens ALL DAY LONG! And, I'm about SICK of it!

You just said it ALL when it comes to how drivers treat each other on the roads today! (although incoherently!) And if you THINK, as a preacher's son, that I haven't been behind the woodshed.... and YOU can do it.... Bring it ON! The SECOND most important thing I concentrate on while driving, is NOT impeding the progress of both 4wheelers AND truckers! Obviously... that is something YOU don't care about!

But then, I'm not sure you would understand that!

I watch national geographic specials on chimps and other apes, but I also do not clam them as brothers. I probably would enjoy their discussions more than yours anyway.

Then, don't bother responding to me! I bet THEY would shun you anyway, as you only care about yourself! Besides, they are not your brothers, they are probably your descendants! Do you understand THAT?

And you've CLEARLY shown that you just don't CARE!

I care plenty, I do not have time to care about low foreheads who are constantly running up people's rear ends all day and cannot understand simple concepts or get into mind numbed rage over the fact that someone may have to pass or give another driver some room to enter or exit a ramp. You dare call me selfish when you are demanding that everyone and everything stay completely out of your way "or else". Grow up!

Nice bit of "slander" and namecalling there, Fozz!! If YOU didn't have such a low forehead, you'd be able to tell by now that I do NOT tailgate or "push" people! Funny thing is... "I" usually know that a truck needs to move over to allow incoming traffic (though THEY are supposed to yield) BEFORE HE DOES!! And I often "lift" a bit to let him in! But, in your words, THAT is a different topic! I'm talking about an idiot who has been sniffing DOT bar for over 10 miles, and THEN decides to pass JUST when a faster truck is about to blow by BOTH of them! You REALLY don't get it, do you???

I bet you drive (or drove) for J.B. Hunt, don't you?

I did at one time..

AND??..... well, it explains alot to me. MOST of the offenders I mentioned were J.B Hunt trucks, but not ALL! Swift is bad for it, too! And KNIGHT.... they're probably the WORST!

I don't care if you drive 5 under, not one bit! Just don't do it in the Hammer Lane! You wanna match records? Fine! Not a mark on mine. You wanna match skills? Fine.... let's go! Your constant need for namecalling nothwithstanding.... you can't teach me a dang thing!

I am one of the most carefull, AWARE, and considerate drivers on the road! But, I'm gonna get the most out of the speed I can do. Just this week, a driver was "closing in" on me and passed me. Then, for some reason (read lifting on his accelerator) he couldn't "close the deal" and get past me. Did I race him? NO! I did something YOU seem incapable of understanding.... I hit the clutch, engaging my Jakes, and dropped WAY back, so he could move over in front of me "safely." THAT is called professional driving! THAT is called "brotherhood." His ample use of his marker lights to say "thank you" showed that HE understood what I had done. If YOU don't understand this kind of driving courtesy.... YOU don't belong on the road! (maybe in the zoo with the chimps would be about your speed.)

Now... what ELSE do you got to say?

what happened, were you not good enough for JB?

I got a much better job offer.. you?

i will match records with you, I been driving for 30 years. my truck top speed is 84 mph. my last ticket was in 1989 in a 4 wheeler. my last ticket in a truck was NEVER!!.

I gotcha beat there already... Never had a ticket in anything. I've been driving for about 25 unless you count the military and their large vehicles, then of course its longer...

wrecks I have had.. one in 1975 in a dump wagon. guy pulled out in front of me and stopped to make left.

So you failed to pay attention and slammed into someone ahead of you? Like "Mr Bearing down on people", you were exhibiting the behavior you are bragging about and creamed someone who was "holding you up". So this proves what? I've not had any chargable accidents. I got rear ended by a drunk doing 85 ina 55.. that wasn't you was it?

I have numerous safety awards and even 2 courtesy awardsgiven by a compnay that rewarded its drivers for compliments that were called in.

ditto.. so?

I also have never been threatened or have I threatened any one on the cb,

Do you want a cookie for this? It's not the topic.

I dont park at the fuel pump unless I am getting fuel.

Again, no points for doing something that you are supposed to do.

I dont create my own parking spot at truckstops.

And?

I yield for drivers who want to go faster ( cars and trucks)

In normal situations and in normal traffic I think everyone including myself stays over to the right and allows the faster traffic to go by. HOWEVER, that's not always possible! There are times where it is safer to get over to the left and allow a potential dangerous situation to un screw itself. If this happens and I need to get over to protect THEM, then that's exactly what I am going to do. If this makes BBR wet his depends and get upset, then screw him!

so, now lets hear about you. mister jb hunt reject

You done heard it Mr.rearender

I have great job pulling a tanker hauling hazmat, a job that you could NEVER qualify for, the boss would take 5 minutes to talk to you and realize that you would be a bad representative for his company.

hard to believe, but if true congratulations. I hope you a had different attitude in the military

I was going the speed limit and he pulled right out in front of me and stopped. I am sure you could have avoided the situation given your superior intellect.

I NEVER have driven drunk or anywhere near drunk

I have numerous safety awards and even 2 courtesy awards given by a company that rewarded its drivers for compliments that were called in.

I doubt it, youdotn get courtesy awards by being an A-hole

I also have never been threatened or have I threatened any one on the cb,

you must be guilty of this one

I dont park at the fuel pump unless I am getting fuel.
I guess you are guilty again

There are times where it is safer to get over to the left and allow a potential dangerous situation to un screw itself. If this happens and I need to get over to protect THEM, then that's exactly what I am going to do. If this makes BBR wet his depends and get upset, then screw him!

but you said earlier that you dont move for anyone, so lets just forget the whole thing , you are a discourteous unprofessional steering wheel holder and are not likely to change, so I will try my best to avoid you, and if I see you trying to merge, I will give you all the room you need, even though you would not do the same for me

so, now lets hear about you. mister jb hunt reject

You done heard it Mr.rearender

This has to be the most stupid post I have ever read, bottom of the barrel shi^. Go figure....lol
Well, if you're talking about MY part of it.... I apologize! I was BORED, as most of the topics I've posted on seemed to end with MY post!

This just happens to be one of my biggest pet peeves! I didn't mean to take it all out of Fozzy. He just posted the thoughts that bothered me. I NEVER mean any of my posts to be PERSONAL attacks! I just respond to the words I read. The names (to protect the innocent) are immaterial!
