Nice find, I tried to see if I could find some drivers and didn't find any.

I had a choice to buy a Business-class computer with XP...so PLEASE....will someone tell me I am a dumb-ass.

This Brand New computer is slow...stupid...screws up everything...will not use any of my old programs...but THEY CLAIM you can get upgrades and patches...HA...they STILL don't work or have problems....(so don't fall for that sales-pitch) (or ANY of the many sales pitches you will hear to convince you this is the Future OS) I feel sooooo used.

My middle finger is worn out from deleting Securities. You try to do simple tasks and your high-speed internet works slower than dial-up.

Any one here have Vista and like it? :P
I don't know computers but what I do know is that I haven't heard one good thing about Vista

Well...it's been 2+ hours since my last post. It has taken me the last full 2+ hours to simply uninstall Quicktime which was part of iTunes that I could not install. My XP would uninstall a program in 5 minutes or less.

(BTW...I'm on Charter high speed cable) (my old XP OS ran about 200++% faster than this)

I had Firefox installed, and it prompted me to install the new version, over the new version I installed yesterday. I went through 4 of those black page recovery start-ups, when things just froze completely.

Beyond that I am busy as a whack a mole hitting Security alerts. They pop up constantly. You really can't keep up with them. They come back as fast as you say yes...no...yes...no...no...no...yes...why not...I'm sick of deciding...yes ...yes to everything...yes...yes...yes. WTF do I care anymore...YES. ....yes...whimper...please just stop...I'll do anything...please...please anything...just stop.

3 hours ago...all I wanted to do is start uninstalling stuff...I think I need to find a bigger hammer. :P

out of curiosity...... do a control-alt-delete, start task manager on the bottom left it will tell you how many processes running in the back ground. How many processes do you have running?

Another way to remove things quicker is to start you computer in safe mode with networking.

It said 66.
I do have Bit Defender Antivirus and Webroot Spysweeper running.

I've been ripping programs out by the roots. I stripped all the Roxio stuff off, and some MS stuff...like Office crap I'd never use. I think I have pretty much gouged out everything I think I don't need...and if for some reason I did need it...I really no longer care.

I don't know what I'm doing...but to be honest...I don't think Vista would notice. It's too screwed up to do a simple task.

I use slackware Linux myself but am dependant on windows for routeing software and Diablo II, other that those two I'm a member of the GNU generation myself. Any good routeing software you know of for linux or another *nix type system?

I tried Mandrake Linux like 4-5 years ago, I was lost!!!! Honestly I have been thinking maybe this summer buying a Mac Book Pro where you can dual boot mac and windows. Linux just wasn't for me.
You should give it another try, I'm sure a lot has improved in those 4-5 years. Ubuntu and Suse Linux are probably the easiest to switch over to. Most everything is graphical now, but you can still go commando if you want. There's also a huge forum at Ubuntu.com where you can get most anything answered within minutes.
