I thought about that actually. They would be in bags more like at a bake sale, and I'm sortof counting on my appearance to help some with that, as bad as that may sound.

Thanks everybody for the ideas and thoughts.

Being the non-driver, and new to the whole trucking world, I actually thought it was halfway decent....until I ended up stopping at a TA on the way to San Antonio. Sure makes the local one look like nothing. But..Wichita Falls sure has its other quirks like that too.

Thats kindof the impression I had gotten.

Your idea is thoughtful.
Besides the good advice already given. I would just ad...you will find half the drivers outgoing and receptive. Be prepared to realize the other half. Some will be on the scarry side...rough, tired, busy, lone-wolfer's, etc. etc. and mostly unintendtional for the lack of social skills. They are road weary and stressed. This job can take it's toll on anyone.
I know that not all drivers will be interested at a given time. Not everybody wants to interact, even a small amount, and I respect that. I like everybody's card table idea, makes it a lot less pushy that way.

All good people...if you know and understand them. I wish this would be at all TS on Holidays. Sure would be nice to look forward to. I've been on duty on Holidays myself....mainly because I am single with no children. I generally take the loads so the family guy's can be home. I'll pass on the egg nog though...
I'll make sure and keep a glass of eggnog just for you, labeled roadhog  Oh..wait...I don't think I'd hand out very many cookies if that were visible :P

Probably.

Furthermore...you study body language...for any minor inflection...a tell-tale.
Quite possible.

If satisfied...you'd still question with a trained horse ear...aimed back as you walk off eating the cookie...listening for the restrained snicker and quiet uncontrollable chuckle.
That's where you are wrong - I am a germophobe, and wouldn't eat anything a total stranger handed me in a parking lot.

Don't worry about him Maddi's wife-This has been done for many years, particularily during the Holidays when a driver has been stuck on the Road and it's greatly appreciated by Drivers.

I would certainly appreciate something from home if I were stuck on the road on the holidays. I believe most drivers would be appreciative. Most drivers are not as cynical as Rev.

I'm not worried about Rev. He can just miss out on all the delicious things that are handed out by "strangers" if he wants  :P
Thanks for all the opinions here. I will be contacting them sometime next week to see about getting something going for Christmas. I really like the card table idea...now..where to get one...

And roadhog...that is one ummm..interesting pig picture. I can't figure out whether to laugh or get freaked out by the pig with the big mouth :?
