The temp thing I have on here is just the Nearest "Large" town near me-I live about 18 miles from it. I Live in a Bowl surrounded by Hills and the Air Doesn't move so I'm about the Coldest spot in the U.P.

It's been a number of years, but I remember it getting down to -45 degrees in Central Wisconsin. I remember that mine was the only car that would start that morning, and I spent the forenoon jumping just about every car in the neighbor hood to get them started. Knowing how much colder it gets in the UP, the temp where he's located was, maybe, 65 below then. You REALLY gotta like "goosebumps" to live up there.

It's gets a tad chilly here in Minnesota. I kept a news clipping from a couple years ago when the temperature hit -54.
Jan 17, 2005 4:31 PM (ET) By The Associated Press Temperatures plummeted across the eastern half of the nation Monday, approaching an all-time record in northern Minnesota and freezing the Gulf Coast as a river of Arctic air pushed southward. Thermometers registered a low of 54 degrees below zero at Embarrass, Minnesota. "You keep living, but it gets old after a while," said Christine Mackai, the town clerk for the community of 691 people in northeast Minnesota. Minnesota's record is 60 below, set on Feb. 2, 1996, in Tower, about 10 miles north of Embarrass. The cold at Embarrass didn't stop the regular customers from getting their morning coffee at Four Corners, a cafe and gas station. "Everybody left their cars running," waitress Trish Roggenbuck said. "It was pretty much breathtaking when you walked outside."
