Any grads from the Del Mar College course in Corpus on here? I am about to enroll in the course and wanted to hear from grads about it. Did it meet your needs? Was their placement service up to snuff? I am looking to get my CDL and go to work out in the Eagle Ford Shale. Thanks

Oh I know...I live there.

And that's precisely why I want to go to CDL School. I want to get a job out in the Eagle Ford.

Good that you live there, so you know first hand how tough S.Texas can be on man and beast.

Beautiful country! and I'll never forget the S.Texas sunsets.
I rented a small place in north beach, just on the other side of the bridge going into Corpus for 7 years.
oooOOOOooooo I did a lot of fishing there....and trolling for mermaids during spring break.

Have you a company to work for in mind?
If so, ask them what they think of the local cdl schools, or even call a few companies looking for drivers in the area and ask.

It's good to know what pre-hire requirements some of these companies have, ahead of time.

I live in Port A and I just love it there. Unfortunately, in my current job I'm in the road about eight months a year. I actually want to drive because it will get me more home time. Go figure.
It's either Eagle Ford or bust. No OTR for me. If I want to do OTR, I'll stay in my current job. It pays better.
All reports on Del Mar College that I have gotten have been very positive, but I just want to hear what a recent grad had to say about the school. I'm going no matter what, but you can never have too much info.
