Del Mar College CDL Course (Corpus Christi)
 

Any grads from the Del Mar College course in Corpus on here? I am about to enroll in the course and wanted to hear from grads about it. Did it meet your needs? Was their placement service up to snuff? I am looking to get my CDL and go to work out in the Eagle Ford Shale. Thanks

I rented a small place in north beach, just on the other side of the bridge going into Corpus for 7 years.

Have you a company to work for in mind?
If so, ask them what they think of the local cdl schools, or even call a few companies looking for drivers in the area and ask.

It's good to know what pre-hire requirements some of these companies have, ahead of time.

I live in Port A and I just love it there. Unfortunately, in my current job I'm in the road about eight months a year. I actually want to drive because it will get me more home time. Go figure.
It's either Eagle Ford or bust. No OTR for me. If I want to do OTR, I'll stay in my current job. It pays better.
All reports on Del Mar College that I have gotten have been very positive, but I just want to hear what a recent grad had to say about the school. I'm going no matter what, but you can never have too much info.
