if anyone can help me would be great.. i'm lost on this one. my dad purchased a 2000 classic XL. truck has sat for about 3 years. the clutch pedal sticks to the floor then comes up. I tried lubing the linkage every where but its still doing it. what do you think?

Did you grease the cross shaft on both sides of the bell housing?
Also is there a return spring? Or supposed to be?

tired of hearing everyone telling me the driver is "snapping" the clutch out on it.. good thing he told us the clutch was sticking.... (he didnt... had to find out the hard way..)

If it's an "easy pedal" the forks may be binding. That was a big problem with them.

Pull the inspection cover. Usually just one or two fingers will not spring back. Eventually they break.
