Default Oil consumption

I have a FL70 with 275 HP 3126 engine. It uses abt. 1gal of oil every 600 miles. No leaks and the only smoke is occasionaly going down the road it will puff smoke. Any ideas as to where i can start looking? Tried looking around the internet with absolutly nothing. Is there anyway for me to check or know if it could be the injectors? How abt. anyway to test teh cylinders for leakage? This a 28' living quarters behind the cab pulling a 34' 13,000# trailer with abt. 6,000#'s inside for a total wt of trailer @ 19,000#'s.

How would i do that? Just shine a light into the tank?

What would this be an indication of.

Thanks so much for the reply. I starting to think that i was not going to get a reply.

Black fuel would indicate oil getting in to the fuel system, very likely injector o-rings if this is the case.

Well, guess what guys. I could not see inside the tank so i drew a sample. These bottles hold abt. 10 ozs. The one on the right obviouslly came from the tank. The one on the left is fuel i purchased in a can and brought home. So, i am guessing that i have an injector problem. I just filled the tanks abt. 90 miles before taking this sample. I had a quarter of a tank when i filled. Would it be the seals/o-rings around the injectors? Also, would this cause any power loss? Hope you guys do not mind all the questions.

So, what is the diagnosis from the photos?

 Yea, i poured them back into the tank. That would be nasty.

What would the reccomended repair be? Is this something that i could do myself. I know they are not the same but, i do all the work on our race cars.
