What do engine oil temps typically run at?

Mine runs around 180, just like the engines used to. :wink:

Should be within engine operating temp, 180 to 200 degrees

What I look for in +/- 10 degrees F (approx) of what the water temp. is if the engine uses an oil to water heat exchanger. With no oil cooler, 200-210 F seems to be what I've seen. Seems like I read that engine oil is engineered to perform well at around 210F. Just my 2 cents and by no means manufacturer's technical data.

N 14 cummins Im running 180- 200 and the fan kicks in at about 210
