Well, it's time for another quick update for the last week...
I'm taking my first round of some much deserved time off and figured I'd get on here before retiring for the evening to post everything. Dang, I used that "retiring for the evening" phrase... I'm starting to sound like some kind of old guy, like Skywalker   :P. Here's what I've accomplished since last week's load switcharoo in Savannah. Not the greatest, but still not shabby either. But this next pay week coming is going to be really interesting, as I've estimated that I only drove 670 miles but should gross around $450  . But, we'll see what happens when next Friday rolls around. Here goes nothing! Week 32-10 -Markham, IL to Westville, IN (hook preloaded tank) -Westville, IN to Huntsville, AL (customer unload) -Huntsville, AL to Garden City, GA (drop dirty tank, hook clean tank) -----Garden City, GA to Savannah, GA (load re-scheduled) -Savannah, GA to Garden City, GA (hook preloaded tank) -Garden City, GA to Ocala, FL (driver unload with truck air) -Ocala, FL to Jacksonville, FL (drop dirty tank, wash fittings, hook clean tank) -----Jax, FL to Riceboro, GA (drop clean tank, hook preloaded tank) -----Riceboro, GA to Bridgeville, PA (layover) Gross: $1,034.55 Miles: 2,150 Avg.: .481/mile Superior Carriers Totals, from July 31st (ALL PAY)....from solo start Aug. 8th (not including training and orientation pay, or referral bonuses): Gross: $35,629.50 (.574/mile).....$31,613.14 (.509/mile) Miles: 62,120 Hours: 577.50 Hazmat Loads: 14 Days Working: 178 Days Off: 49 *Totals calculated up to last pay week posted* Superior Carriers 2007 Totals (WORK PAY ONLY): Gross: $10,894.80 (.519/mile) Miles: 20,994 Hours: 179.00 Hazmat Loads: 6 Days Working: 57 Days Off: 13 *Totals calculated up to last pay week posted* Y'all be safe and have fun!

Only at the retirement home ... I'll give you a call tomorrow once I head out of here. BTW, this Gateway is working great since it was properly configured. Well well well aren't you to just silly. Picking at each other about age, and here I sit thinking compared to you two I am just a baby.
You dear skywalker maybe young enough to be his big brother but compared to me you are old enough to be my daddy . As far as cyanide goes well we just won't go there with what he is old enough to be to me. Although he acts like he is my daddy sometimes. You two are so silly. And yes he finally sucked it up and got one which you will see since he is right now typing on his own computer instead of mine. Oh boy oh boy I don't have to share any more. I never was very good at sharing you know I think that has something to do with being an only child.  I would very much like to hear about the renaming ceremony and all that, might just get very interesting

Just dropping a quick line minus figures to y'all (those will come later). I'm sitting in our wonderful Memphis yard about to grab a shower and then some Cracker Barrel. I've been keeping very busy since my last post, and am still very pleased with Superior. Honestly speaking, now that I've been doing chem tanks again with a good company (unlike C.T.L.) that pays for everything, I don't see why it took me so long to find something like this. But, unless something major happens I can see myself being here a very long time...definitely much longer than the two years I stayed at Aartman, which I was very happy at. But short of being a Teamster, I think I've found a very good gig here.
As to my work well, I have to see where I left off. I remember going to PA and where to from there? Oh yeah, PA, IL, WI, CT, MA, ONT, MS, and now here in TN til tomorrow. Like I said, I've stayed busy as can be when not on time off, and am still getting my workouts in religiously between loads. Speaking of time off I'll be taking more of that around Easter. I just have nothing to complain about here. I gotta get going for now though, that breakfast is calling my name! Y'all take care and enjoy yourselves...

I just can't take it anymore...
Hey everyone, I'm sitting here in Ocala, FL waiting for the receiver to approve my lab sample so I can begin unloading. Life is so cruel huh, especially since I was on layover pay leading up to my appointment this morning ! I wanted to update what I can with my runs and numbers since I do have my pay info. I hope this will still give everyone a continuing view of how "rough" this tanker deal is :P. It's so nice not having to worry about being in the crowd anymore of "I need all the miles I can get..." who are paid only when the wheels are turning. Getting compensated for everything makes life so much easier in so many ways. Y'all be safe, have fun, and have a great weekend if I don't get back on sooner than Monday. Here's the new numbers... Week 33-11 -Bridgeville, PA to Karns City, PA (drop loaded tank, hook clean tank) -----K.C.. PA to Neville Island, PA (live load) -----Neville Isle, PA to Kankakee, IL (customer unload) -----Kankakee, IL to Chicago, IL (drop dirty tank, wash fittings) -Chicago, IL to Markham, IL (time off) Gross: $442.56 Est. Miles: 666 Avg.: .665/mile Week 34-12 -Markham, IL (hook clean tank), then up to Sturtevant, WI (live load) -Sturtevant, WI to Clinton, CT (customer unload) -Clinton, CT to Springfield, MA (drop dirty tank, hook clean tank) -----Springfield, MA (live load), then over to Windsor, ONT, CAN (live unload) -----Windsor, ONT to Sarnia, ONT (drop dirty tank, hook clean tank) -Sarnia, ONT (live load), then to Neoga, IL (layover) Gross: $1,117.01 Est. Miles: 1,865 Avg.: .599/mile Superior Carriers Totals, from July 31st (ALL PAY)....from solo start Aug. 8th (not including training and orientation pay, or referral bonuses): Gross: $37,189.07 (.575/mile).....$33,172.37 (.513/mile) Est. Miles: 64,651 Hazmat Loads: 15 Days Working: 188 Days Off: 53 *Totals calculated up to last pay week posted* Superior Carriers 2007 Totals (WORK PAY ONLY): Gross: $12,454.37 (.529/mile) Est. Miles: 23,525 Hazmat Loads: 7 Days Working: 67 Days Off: 17 *Totals calculated up to last pay week posted*

Cyanide is much more into "detail" than I am... 8) But I added up my first twelve weeks of pay for this year. Its $11,767.49. I've definitely taken more time off than he has...  My wife certainly likes seeing me home a lot more. 8) I like seeing her a lot more too...
Now, you might ask yourself: How can he say that it was his pay for the previous 12 weeks in this year...when he hasn't been paid for all of March yet?? Its because that number includes my pay for the last week in Dec 06, which was paid to me in the 1st week in Jan 07. I have roughly figured my pay for the last week of March... and its over $1000.00. And whats interesting is that I was home from the 20th to the 27th and came back out on the 28th. So the $1k+ for this week has been made just five days. That would make 13 weeks pay over $12,800.00. When I say I have taken a lot of time off.... I have. I need to pull out my logs and count my total of days off since the 1st of January. I was home for both this past Christmas and New Years. I know that I have figured that I am making over $1k per week on average...because my paycheck for the last week of Dec was not very high since I really only worked about three and a half days that week. Getting paid for all the extra things that we get pulling chemical tankers makes it worth it. My check for the week ending 3/11/07 was $1097.75 for 5 days work......and I only drove 1760 miles. Yep, 1760 miles. That works out to 63.2 cents per mile. Chemical tankers are definitely not all about the miles. 8) 8) 8)

. But, we'll see what happens when next Friday rolls around. Here goes nothing!
