It was a DC in Florida.

He hasn't seen any detention pay on his check. He said with Star, he doesn't get detention pay until it hits 24 hours.

I registered specifically to respond to this thread. I used to dispatch for Swift. I doubt that they're the worst outfit on the road, but I saw plenty of horror stories. Swift is not the type of company where I would send a friend. Or a friend's dog. They do all they can to take advantage of their drivers, and their pay is crappy. I would keep looking, and not look back.

Actually, unless it has changed in last 4 weeks:
.14 training
.30 rookie
.32 after 6 months
.33 at a year

best,
Mac

Oops. You're correct. My brain was not working correctly yesterday. I work in a college and it's registration time - enough said.

I'm just about ready to go to Orientation for JB Hunt and THOUGHT I would check it out first here.

They seem to be like everybody else, you get people bad mouthing them and others that like working there.

There's some final paperwork and other minor stuff to work out. but I was told -

.34 cpm (6 months verified)

48 states, drop and hook

$800-900 a week

And the usual, 401K, yadda, yadda...

Not too crazy about the 48 states and I don't wanna chain up (waaaa) so I'm still mulling it over.

Can't be any worst than SNI and that was semi-okay

You can get .34 a mile all day , but how many miles will they really have for you a week average. Remember more is not always better.
