Well, if I make it thru this BS, a few things will change.
1. Will be parked by 6 pm. NO EXCEPTION.
2. NOT GOING TO THE NORTHEAST. Get stuck on the NJ turnpike, and you can be there for hours.
3. No longer going to try to move loads a day early. On time is good enough.
I'm sure they'll be more than happy to accommodate you!!

As fast as it started, it's over. The end of my career with Western Express.

I'll tell all. Days off were tues, wed, and thurs. Had a load on Friday ready to be picked up at 9 am. At 7:30 am, I missed the call from my DM. Reviewed my messages, and guess what? My DM was threating me to either get the load, or he'll file truck/trailer abandoment, and I would be fired.

WTF? So I sent a message asking why would he leave that message. It was left because I wouldn't take his calls during my days off. Now I fired this DM over 4 weeks ago. They never assigned me a new DM. So I had told him to tell his superviser to call me. And he filed the abandoment charges.

Since then, I was contacted by his supervisor, or at least they claimed they were his supervisor, and at least 4 other DMs. All stating the same thing. Go get the load, and they will lift the abandment charges.

I told them all my employment has ended, and no longer willing to drive their truck. They can keep their charges. I don't work under extortion.

So this is the end of this little drama.

Well, "this little drama" may have ended, but the "little drama" of ending your driving career no sooner than it resumed has just begun. You've been around long enough to know that truck/trailer abandonment is a serious resume killer. Just sayin'.
