I drove for Swift for years in both the dry van and flatbed divisions (in fact, started my career with them). IMO the flatbed side was the way to go - I wasn't a number, the people were knowledgable, the equipment pretty decent, and the miles were plentiful when I felt like running. I only left them about six months ago to go back to working for Safety at another carrier.
