Default Anyone have info on Ron Hummer out of IA

I have talked with Scott their sole recruiter most things sound really good have a few more questions I will be asking in the morning. I have talked to only one driver I just nvr see their trks. But I guess with only around 100 comp trks thats what happens

Has anyone heard/ worked for them? I know there are TWO Hummer fleets Don and Ron

Questions asked already

Short or Prac- PC Miler Miles(exp as not short but not prac either)
Speed of trks- 68
Miles to expect 2000?????? but home weekly
Ins waiting period- Feb 1 it kicks in
Det, ex stop, layover pay- up to the disp(exp if you deserve it you get it)
How do they comm with the trks- cell phone only
Tolls- All tolls paid
Driv to disp- around 50 but you get no set dispatcher
Inverters- allowed
stick or auto- all stick fleet
trip pak or Transflo- Transflo
Pay- 41c for all miles

Im looking at small companies. Can you think of anything else I should ask? I know the expected miles are low but he said most drivers want to be home every weekend so im going to see if anyone stays out for a stint at a time and see what their avg is. Only thing that worries me is the low quoted miles.

Don't know about "Ron"....but I see trucks all the time that say "Don" Hummer Trucking on them.

Don Hummer Trucking : Home

And most of those drivers, whom I strike up converstion with, seem pretty happy with them.

I drove for Don Hummer for a while. Good company, 40 cpm inverters installed in trucks already. Nice small company atmosphere. If I remember right the trucks are all autoshift. From my experience they are a very driver friendly company

Learned something new here today, thanks CAD.

I see these guys all the time and associated the two as being the same company.
Seems R.H. Hummer is more diversified.

Welcome to Hummer of Iowa
