volvo=electrical nightmare but lower weight for you use. pete=cool ride with flashy name, but alot heavier.

They still have the cheap stuff like every division in trucking but, right now the cheap stuff is paying bout $80.00 a ton . But still at 25 tons it is apox 480 to the driver.

What was it paying when you ran this type freight? And how long ago was it?

Now dead head of course is still free but I figure at 3 loads a week should be able to gross out at $1,000 a week which should be alright for me as a company hand .

Back when I was running it, an average load paid between $15 - $20 a ton, based on about a 200 mile trip. All in all, it came out to between $1.75 - $2.00 per mile. I pulled hopper from 1997 - 2003.
