at my job we have a casual. hes the bum they call in the middle of the night if someone calls out sick. he gets to drive a diffrent truck and find a diffrent stop everytime he comes in. and he hardly gets called because no one calls out much

Yeah. There's a place up in Ripley, MS....Barefoot, maybe?...I've talked to a coupla drivers who drive part time for them.
'Course they're always runnin that ad in the paper for concrete trucks, but that's hardly casual.

And Ashley laid off 32 drivers just last week. I know those guys are going to be out looking. Ashley didn't go by seniority, either; some million milers got let go. It's tough, these days.

I drive for Action. Aren't you the guy who was raggin' me a while back about you getting to work for Ashley while I "had" to work for Action?
