Most folks think local is the be all to end all. Well, I'm here to tell you that sometimes it just ain't so. Now back to the original topic, already in progress.

Say what you will TF, your one of them and i'm not listening. Keep feeding my post, you know you cant stop. Deep down you have to know that's not the right thing to do to a poor trucker. And if you do ,your scum.

I know it will be on my DAC when i made the decision to leave. Doesnt matter anyway cause i will NEVER work for a big company again. I worked for independants since 2001 and for the first time i wanted to see what it was like and see if i could get good benefits. Fawk that!

I got a job with another independant here in FL. And i do know how to run hard and i am very efficient. We'll just have to see what he's all about. Wont have to worry about a 14 hour clock. I can run my own log book like when i used to haul boats.

And yes, the truck was completly cleaned out. I'm a bit of a neat freak and i pay attention to detail. I'm better off with independant, small fleet companies than these big trucking companies with a ton of restrictions.

You took it to A terminal. Did you take it the correct terminal? We only assign trucks at our main terminal so they can be gone through before giving it to the a driver. If a driver drops off his truck at the terminal in Missouri how does the company get it back to headquarters? You either have to pay a driver to drive it or deck it on a trailer and haul it back. I am not doing either for free.

You come on here saying Melton sucks and why. Then when someone explains why it COULD have happenedyou bash them. As a company driver, I'm constantly asked by other drivers how my mpg can be so high when I drive the same truck setup and haul the same loads as they. When I give them my answer, I get the same attitude your giving TF. IMHO your a steering wheel holder that has no clue about trucking as evidenced in your statement

"Wont have to worry about a 14 hour clock. I can run my own log book like when i used to haul boats."

In other words ILLEGAL

I have never pulled for Melton but have a close friend that does and frankly in my opinion, I have to throw the :dung: flag out........I have to agree with the poster that said there are 3 side to every story and I doubt we are getting the ACTUAL details. To the OP, good luck with you're new gig.

Thanks Devil, your a free thinker.

......And yes ya douche, i took it to the terminal i picked it up at when i got hired. I'm a standup guy and what they did was wrong.

And you call it illegal? I call it makin money.
I made alot of money when the economy was good a few years back. Just cause i turn in a legal log dont mean that's what i run. Do you think car haulers and boat haulers run a legal log?

All I asked is whether or not you dropped it off at the right terminal. You would be surprised what some guys think is the right way.
