Default Trucking companies with Volvo Fleets

Can you guys name some trucking companies that have Volvo fleets. I know Swift and Cowan have some. I've been to a few truck stops to check out some but they were mostly from Canada, like Polestar or Skif.

Thanks!

Some fleets mix it up a bit. I think US Xpress has Volvo's, as does First Fleet, Big G Express. Those are just a few of them that I can recall. You will need to check with them for their current hiring requirements. I would not worry about the type of truck starting out. The main thing you need when starting out is experience.

US Xpress and Swift have the largest Volvo fleets, I think. Swift mostly uses the smaller Volvo 670, whereas US Xpress mostly uses the larger (and much nicer) Volvo 780.

Other fleets I found during my research were Hill Bros (where I now drive), Baldwin out of Amarillo, Churchill out of Detroit, Ashley Furniture out of Wisconsin, Raven out of Florida (I think; southeast for sure). Averrit and First Fleet both run 670's. There are also quite a few Volvos pulling FedEx wiggle wagons, though I suspect those are individual owner ops.

Good luck,

Jim

EDIT: I almost forgot, Interstate Distribution out of Washington also uses many Volvo 780s.

knight transportation uses volvos. they're the 670's with mostly o/o specs, and governed at 65 or 66mph.

Along with Columbia's, I believe Interstate has Volvo's as well.

Central Refrigerated runs Volvos as their company trucks.
