last week on sunday i left lancaster ohio with a load of paper rolls for nashville, tn. i delivered them and picked up my backhaul to the wal mart in grove city, oh. i dropped that load and got an empty wagon and deadheaded back to lancaster...that was mon. afternoon. i stayed at home till tues. afternoon and got a load of paper rolls from lancster, oh going to nashville, i delivered that load and went and got a backhaul to the wal mart in grove city, oh. i dropped that load and got an empty wagon back to lancaster,oh. i stayed at home till thur afternoon when i went and got a load of paper roll going to nashville, tn. i delivered that load and went and picked up a backhaul going to the walmart in grove city,oh. i dropped that load and got an empy wagon back to lancaster,oh. i am going to do this for another 3 weeks till i go back to my old job driving for a contractor at fedex ground. i will keep you all informed on how things are going for me.

 

Interesting....who do you drive for now? Doesnt sound like a bad gig. Home, basically, every other day....unless it doesnt pay well or you want to spend more time on the road.

 

no, it is a good gig. ilike to stay out every other night because i make up for the sleep that i do not get at home...wife and 3 kids age 5 and under. but this does not pay what i need that is why i am going back to fed ex. but it is a good job and i got nothing bad to say about the company. i will say who the company is after i give my notice next week on friday.

 

Dang...to bad it didnt pay more...sounds like an awesome job, especially with a wife and kids. Kind of the best of both worlds. A little "OTR" and still home half the week.

i was banned for what i think was excessive use of profanity and name calling. i have been reading for a while now when i got to reading the thread about evinrude getting out of otr and i could not help myself...i had to come back. maybe this time i wont curse as much...but you never know. the ignorant comments made on that thread by some drivers just gets my goat. i will try my best to behave. and to the hand that said "hopefully fedex lets you come back", i just have to wait 3 weeks till a guy that wanted to work for the summer goes home and gets out of my truck.

 

well last week was 2 trips to nashville and back. and three this week, got done early because i did a favor and some creative logging. one more week and then back to fed ex, which is 2 trip from columbus,oh to edison,nj. and then on trip from columbus,oh to somerset,pa. look for me on the turnpike the week after labor day. you got my truck number already...if you can figure it out. or i will be in the t-600 with ablue led light on the dash.
