It is an illegal practice, that is all too common in the trucking industry, for the simple fact, that most trucking companies know that a driver will not call them on it.

Damages caused by driver error, DOT physicals, drug testing, on the job training..all are common "payback" deductions, which companies take at will, just because they know that the average driver will not say a word about it.

The some most cruel people in the world hide behind religion. Couple years back Covenvent was caught for trying to get there drivers to sign off on workman compensation insurance...they are truly a bottom feeder.
