How often would you like to get home? If you want to be home every week look elsewhere. If you can stay out 3 or more weeks at a time they are a good choice.

Please come to Shaffer-- we have tons of short freight that will get you up to
New England from Pa and allow you much home time--- you can have 100% of my new england weekend freight-- and I'll throw in 100% of my recruiting/referral bonus-- if you willing to wait a few weeks-- you can even have MY truck( maybe)-- it's a (pet free) 200000 mile truck was running fine before Columbus Yard serviced it last time.

Shaffer does have a NE regional fleet that you might be able to get on. I hear the miles aren't very good but you would be able to get home more often than with Crete.

Now whats the deal with Crete ans Shaffer? I see their trailers have the same schemes and what not. Is it the same company? Different divisions? Partner company?

Crete owns Shaffer. Historically Crete was the dry van division and Shaffer was the reefer division. In recent times that distinction has been blurred somewhat. When you see a Shaffer truck pulling a Crete trailer, 9 times out of ten, it's a Crete driver who was given a Shaffer truck because Crete didn't have any trucks at the time that driver needed one.
