I drove by their yard here in Streator IL today and talked to a couple of Drivers I am friends with. EVERYONE IS LOOKING FOR A NEW JOB. We are talking drivers with 10-12 years and Millions of Miles in a dedicated contract all leaving at once for the simple reason they can not stand the company anymore. Pried alittle harder and found out that they had all their Bounus programs as drivers cut Yet the Millis brothers are still getting theirs as the owners and still the company is loosing cash faster than the Titanic was taking on water. Last trailers they ordered were in 2005 and they are being REPPOED this year not a good sign.

Found out on the Trucks they went from VIP interiors to bare bones and also cut HP from 430 to 320 in the last orders. Also wnet from T-2000 to T-600 and from 72 in to 60 inch sleepers unless you are a trainer then you still get a 72 incher.

Nothing new...That sounds like most trucking companys
The industry is full of doom and gloom...

I overheard some fellow the other day at the truckstop
make it sound as if the entire world was about to come to an end.

Appreciate all your comments. Certainly not an easy decision to make.
Looking at other companies as well. Did check out the other board...cant say i was tickled by what i read. Its a tough decision for us to make and im thinking it comes down to trial and error. For all the good there is about one company there is equal negative.
Someone on here told us that finding the right company comes down to more of what you make of it and your attitude than what others have to say. From what a company is willing to offer, hubby and i know what we want. finding that combo is the tough part but i also want him to work for a company he can proud of...Asking for too much arent I?>??

Thanks everyone!
Erin

Yep...

Its hard to find a company that one can be happy with that is certain,

And then once you get on with someone you begin to realize how

easy it it to lose your job in this industry.

Such is life ...no guarantee's

Zipy46 I drove Millis inThe 90's when I did the trucks were PIMPED OUT. Factory installed Corba 29 LTD's with Weatherbands Power windows locks Massage in the seats Heated treads on the steps. Full Carperting throughout and true Refrigarators instead of what people think are ones in EVERY TRUCK. Looked in one at the same time and could not believe same company. Drivers now have to provide CB's and fridges. Gone oare the power windows and locks in the 07's and other top of the line goodies ARE GONE.
