I talked to a Shaffer driver in Gary,Ind a while back

..he said he liked it.

and he also mentioned 'load select' option

and they cover most of the USA as far as routes go.

I think he also mentioned the Shaffer truck ran only 65 or 66 if that matters. ( i forget which one)

Well they mostly have load select, which means that a lot of times when they get new loads they can choose between 2-3 different load offers. But sometimes when the freight is slow there is no option but to run the one that's offered.

And MrScary: Crete/Shaffer pays the same as Marten for starters they are known to be one of the highest paying companies in the country.

But good luck to you with Marten; we spoke with some of their drivers and they were happy, but then you have unhappy drivers at any company out there!

Don't know where you live, but you might want to check out Dickey Transport out of Packwood, IA. They run mainly SE. All refer.

I went down and talked to them and checked them out. Decent outfit and treat you like an adult! No Qualcom dispatch...all phone calls. Every driver I spoke with wouldn't leave for anything. Must say something. BOL
