Thanks, is the 1.5 days for out of town truckers or just local drivers. My friend says her husband is at the mercy of W.H. to get a load to South Ga. so he can come home then when he does come home it's usually for a day or a couple of hours (sometimes he is gone for 2 1/2 weeks at a time). Hopefully he is telling his wife the truth. I am trying to get all the news I can. Drive Safe.

The 1.5 days is for their over the road drivers. They run a lot of freight between Wisconsin and the northeast. My friend said that a lot of their return loads are back to Wisconsin or close to Wisconsin. Considering you live in Ga. they might have trouble finding freight to run from Wisconsin down to there to get him home.

if you live in appleton i can't think of a reason you shouldn't give Schneider a real hard look.
You may have to put in a year OTR, but they have a ton of local, regional, bulk and rail routes that will go right past your house.

Try Kreilkamp Trucking in Allenton, WI. They work with newbies and also have a small drop yard in Appleton.

There's also Jeff Foster Trucking in Superior, WI. I believe you need some experience with them.

yeah i was going to mention them. i forgot too, they do alot of different things. They haul alot of tankers some asphalt. They also have a logging division I see those trucks alot. I would say that most of their freight is flatbed.

I did not have a good experience with Roehl. It was a constant fight to get home with them. After 2 years I finally gave up and left. It then took me 3 months to get my $100 equipment deposit ( when you hire-on you have to give Roehl $100 of YOUR money as a depost on THEIR equipement and you get it back when you quit ) and I had to go so far as to threaten to take them to court and place a lien on one of their trucks before they gave me back my money. I can not recommend Roehl for this a several other reasons.
By the way, I have 16 years and almost 2 Million safe miles under my belt so I've been at this a little while.
